Truly fascinating David !!!!!
Thus when I see pictures of all of these dioramas, I think it would be good to make a great Mithril exhibition show. Too bad we are too distant to each other.....
Alas, I think you are too right there Nino, the Web must be our exhibition for now .
I seem to remember Lars saying something along those lines in one of the emails he posted, but more chance of Sauron keeping his word than that happening I think, although in all fairness it is the distance issue given our spread around the globe

This news pictures just confirm the excellent and huge work you have done... Love every single little detail on the ship.
May I suggest to add some sailors (just 2-3, not much)? Somebody has to take the sail tasks, even when they´re in battle
Maybe someday will see it in person

There is one sailor Master Elroi, and he is virtually unseen at the tiller of the ship - I think I used the Dunland tracker as this character. But you are quite right about a crew - I am probably going to see if a couple of the Corsairs can be utilised and some other figures may also be useable.
I still have to add some shields around the woodwork (you may have noticed some small holes in some panels), I found a really nice swan design, but messed up the application so it is back to the drawing board .
Anyhow, I hope the scene has inspired others to have a go at something similar - I now have the bottom half of the model which I am going to make into the Elven-ship carrying the Ring-bearers to the Undying Lands; that is going to involve some scratch-building

The Bree rendition is "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (as rendered by Master Van Dyke in his infamously awful pseudo-Cockney accent).

What do you think Master Van Dyke drank before they filmed that scene? No one could murder an accent like that if they were stone-cold sober.
