Re: The Taproom

Huuoommmrhuoommm ... seems to be some lad-brokes here recently ... rhuoomm ... so no one around here takes my guess about the latest change in the Companies strategy of providing and organizing some next releases seriously .... rhuooomm ... none to deal with my rumours around here ... huoommm ... alas ... Master Barliman, may I have a topped up bowl of that clear clean honey-coloured watery liquid, please? .... rhuomm .... huoomm ... topped up I said, sorry.

Ahh ... huoomm ... by the by, I don't worry about that troll ... rhuoomm ... Thomas it was, wasn't it ... rhuoomm ... so I might wager a coiny thing on him being produced .... rhuoomm ...
Are there more rumours around ?  ..... Huoommmm, or even facts? .... hom ...
"Cheers" is the word you use to drown any bowl of liquid? .... rhuoomm ... so, Cheers !

Re: The Taproom

Has anyone noticed how many people are signing up on here? It seems weird that their is a new one almost everyday lately.hmm Are these real people or is someone just putting a different user name each time. I say this because some of the user names don't make any sense, like they are just typing something at random. Just my two cents. smile

Re: The Taproom

Sorry, Master Tree, what is it we were supposed to guess from your recent remarks about upcoming releases? It may be my ale-addled brain, but I couldn't see enough information in there to tell me more than you''d already told us a while back. Or was there some further hint in there that I've entirely missed? Your clues are sometimes from the far side of cryptic, and solving them can take far more grey cells than I can make a claim to.

By the by, what's a 'lad-broke'? I assume this is an Entish word...it's certainly not in my Westron dictionary.

And finally, you're right, Master Marshal, there do indeed seem to be many new members on the user list, though I've seen none of them here in the Pony, and none have left any messages yet. But they'll be most welcome when they show themselves.

Re: The Taproom

I just looked at the member list, indeed there are lots of new members that's really cool..

But with fame come problems too.. Among the list I noticed some "spamming" or "sex ads" bots or bad nicknames. I erases them. If we are not vigilent, there could be intrusions on this forum from very very unwelcomes peoples, therefore if the number of these "bad persons" increase, I'll strenghten the security for registration hmm

Re: The Taproom

That is a good thing to do Master Gildor. I don't think we need this "stuff" here on MMP. These people can go to other places where they might be welcome.
The same with taking a part within MMP means for me to post  something sometime. 54 Members and maybe 15 out of 54have to say something......????

Re: The Taproom

sorry, I have to correct myself.
21 members have posted messages.
I also think our Marshal of the Mark is on the right track. Some of the names are very strange.

Re: The Taproom

Come on my friend Wisest of Ents. Let's sit down and talk about wood. This would be something interesting to share thoughts about. Not some Companies strategy's  of providing and organizing some next releases. There is always a lot of talk and not a lot of things happening...

Re: The Taproom

some people begin to join us to have access to the market of tharbad & esgaroth ... I think, some are here to be aware of unofficial stuff concerning mithril, to be aware etc... like members who join GF but never suggest nor vote but simply are there to be able to buy the figs...

Re: The Taproom

Rumours'r'us, Master Tree. As for Ladbrokes (when spelt that way!), I know nothing about such establishments, being not in possession of enough luck or enough coiny things to risk them on  games of chance. If I squandered the Pony's minimal profits that way I'd not be able to afford the Mithrils I need.

I notice, incidentally, that no one mentions whether or not they've received their Dol Amroth troops yet.

Re: The Taproom

Members should be careful with these "new" additions to our ranks. They may be worse than just some spammers or such. They may lead to links that will infect your computer or steal your identity.

Re: The Taproom

be careful with any posts from these persons anyway don't click on links that are not given or provided by people you know about and are sure of... I'll check the member lists again

I have ban several domains and ip which are always used by those spambots and I have removed them from the memberlist... there still are some of them maybe, but more than a dozen are gone and should not be able to come back

Mine haven't arrived for the simple reason I haven't ordered yet (being in the usual state of 'skint'), but then I am supposed to be on a Mithril auto shipment which has of late been a bit tempermental insamuch that I have had remind those good people of this fact, but having said that the autoshipment option seems to have gone a bit out of control as they no longer specify which figures you are paying for, just a total, nor do they seem to split it down to individual releases, so potentially I could end up with a payment request of a lot more 'dosh' than I can afford.

Still I hope to order soon, having waited so long.......

And I am really looking forward to the next 'job-lot' of GDF releases.

And whilst on the soap -box, I hope that these strange new members are genuine, but looking at the strange names I fear that the Horn of Buckland may need sounding soon........

Re: The Taproom

The Bounders may indeed be required. Personally I've steered clear of the new 'members' and will wait for any of them to make themselves known in the usual way (i.e. by buying a round of drinks in the Pony and actually paying...).

I suspect, Master Dave, that the DA chaps haven't been posted yet, which is why I was asking. Usually when a Mithril newsletter says something along the lines of "will be mailed this week" some sort of delay usually seems to ensue!

Re: The Taproom

lol, well I'll try (when I have some more spare time... and alas, vacations are over for good this time) to find security modules for this forum in order to avoid being flooded or spammed or have a member list growing up by the hundreds...

But now once again you must be patient. I have no more free time for quite some weeks sad

Re: The Taproom

There may be some randomly generated new members once and a while.  I suspect spammers would go elsewhere for business, as this is kind of a niche.  Some may be people just having learned of Mithril and 'peeking in' so to speak.  One annoying feature of the former MMP was the the user list was never updated at all.  So if someone posted their minis for trade, then disappeared, well...just so much frustration.  Some sites will time you out if you never post.  Other regular members post seldomly but are still active.  How to tell the differences I do not know, but some kind of renewal process might be one idea.  Personally, my interests wander, but always come back and I'm glad to have this place for a number of reasons, mostly having to do with the nice people I've met here...by the by, welcome back Axe99!
