Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I agree that it's a question Chris wouldn't answer in public, in which case what does asking it on the Mithril website achieve? It may generate rancour and ill-feeling towards you. It's a good question, but I suspect we already know the answer. If you want a quiet life I'd recommend you remove it. But these are only my own thoughts, of course.

For those who don't have access to the GF forum here is the question :

"What's your opinion about Mithril politics of releases considering some of your work has been taking dust on factory shelves, sometimes for almost a year if not more"

I think you have probably answered your own question Gildor big_smile, but I wouldn't remove it unless Chris asks you to - M may not like the question, but it is pertinent.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Well, Gildor, I must say that I do like that question.
Being some kind of "ofense" ( I don´t know another word, but I do not take it into a "bad" contense)
is the right way to "wake" up people. In my last case it lead to that Master Q.  quit. But it ain´t a bad decision . . . not at all . . .
So polarizing - let´s call it this way- often lead to emotional- so to say- clear answers . . .
I hope you see what i mean  . . .
Go ahead! I wouldn´t remove it AT ALL !!!!

And I agree to Master Cameo-sis, someone else should ask- otherwise you have to wait for the next release couple of weeks again . . . wink

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I also think someone else who's keen to see the question asked should ask it themselves. Christophe has enough problems with Mithril as it is! .... though I still don't think anything will be achieved by it.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

To my opinion, your question is good, but it's a question for aware fans (up to fanatics ?). And I am sure the man could not answer to it on the forum.
So I would ask him in private if not already done.

Of course, I understand someone's frustation knowing some sculpts are not visible.  So like Imisel did, I would recommend to try to remain neutral in questions.
Afterall, what Michael proposes is to be involved in an interview of The mithril sculptor's . This could be very nice topic, if answers were "alive" on the forum...hmm.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

... it was correct question, but it is better to have it removed....  and send it to Chris privately.... but I'm sure that Chris has no idea about the answer.... Mithril must use the word "mysticism" instead of word "politics" in their public presentations... smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I already know the unofficial answer Milo, as we discussed this in private already with the man but that's not something he would answer to publicly if not asked ...

still I doubt he would accept to answer it publicly at all as it would create problems between him and mithril...

the question is good but as you point out.... it should be another than myself who should ask it.... my background with both Mithril and Chris would make it too odd and I will be addressed by Michael (or even Chris) as a troublemaker for asking again considering my past "actions" among the "official mithril community" (not mmp)

so if someone is willing to ask it, or rephrase it so it is more politically correct smile please go on smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Huuooommmm ... er ... to me that's silly to ask such a question, whoever might put it ... huom ... first, it will not be accepted or passed on (mind that in this case, as in many others, both sides have to agree about the questions being put and answered) ... hom ... second, I cannot imagine that there would be given an answer by The Man in public and especially not on the official website (or in newsletters) of the company ... hom ... third, putting the question, I think, will only cause trouble and discomfort among all who are implied ... huom ... see, there's not very much sense in putting that question , I think ... rhuoomm ... as for an answer to that question, I also would be very much interested in it, of course, as it is an interesting question indeed ... huom ...
but I am convinced you cannot get the answer that way ... rhuooommmm ...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I'm sure there is a way to make the point by changing the style of the question in something more correct...

such as "mithril has been producing several retail figurines a year, sometimes several sets and only one fellowship figurine once a year at best... not the tendancy has reversed and twelve fellowship a year as opposed to less than 10 retail figurines a year . what is your opinion about this change for Mithril ?

that's more neutral and fine I think

Nob tends to hide when people try to "fond" him - he gets embarrassed very easily. As for your breakfast, he ate it days ago.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Good news fellows and ladies, my long-time Sweetie and I were married on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands on Tuesday. We are surrounded by many friends and family. Of couse, we did not wait for this day as long as Aragorn and Arwen . . . but ten years is a long time to be together, and our life spans are not as long as those of the men of Numenor, much less to compare the immortality of Elves!

So bring several rounds for everyone present, and for those to visit in the next several days, my good Barkeep! And whatever the cost, I'm sure it will be a small addition to the total amount of this whole adventure!

Oh, and if Nob could come around with the best Southfarthing weed to fill our pipes, that would be much appreciated!!!

Many congratulations, Master Ranger! So all those funny noises coming from the dark corner weren't always just you, eh? I should have guessed. And there was I thinking that it was just the weed that made your voice sound so high at times.
