Re: THE TAPROOM 2

.... huomrhuoommm ... alright, as for another matter I came across in my mind ... huoomm ... I learned in that Mathom House over there, that neither that Company nor The Man keep one figure of all those nice releases of tiny-metal-things ... huoomm? ...
er, why? .... being a collector-tree I wonder ... rhûoomm ... I cannot imagine that those non-heavy metal things aren't worth being kept ... hoommmm ... what do you think? ... is it lack of interest or lack of space ... huom ... though Master Einstein once pointed out that space is endless .... huom ... is it not? ... ?

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

One can speculate a lot about that but I doubt we'll ever get an answer...

the reasons may be different for the Man and for the company though.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I'd hazard that for The Man it's a lack of space, but for the company it's a lack of competence. (Sorry is that rude? But, well, I've always believed in calling a spade a spade.)

Rather odd really for the company given that they have visitors etc. to the factory. Chris has his collection of figures - here big_smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Huooommm ... ah, well, some regulars present ... huomm ... yes, Master Gildor, space is wide indeed ... hom ... as for you, Master Barliman, it might not only be a matter of competence, but also a matter of interest ... huomm ... er, I also call my spade a spade, though then he's not moving itself ... no, not rude at all ... huoomm ... as for them rumours around here, they have become few, haven't they .... I spread one in the Mathom House being marked as a quotation, right? ... huomm ... so I assume there are some nice things on their way  ... hoooommm

Absolutely brilliant vignette, no doubt!

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Looks wonderful. It's way better than I ever expected it to be when I suggested it. The only thing I'm still worried about is the probable price it'll end up...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Did you see the price for the Beregond/troll vignette? 66.50 (and 56.50 for  duplicates)

I don't know about you but for once I think the price is more than fair for such a big set of pieces!

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Huooommm ... today I received three figures ... huomm ... that new Sauron really is quite tall indeed ... huoomm ... in contrast to those Crebains ... again a different wand-design for Saruman ... huomm ... that angry Mauhur also is a very nice figure ... rhuoommm ... I do like all three ... rhuooommm ... together with them came a new can of spray primer, so as soon as time allows I can start priming the new Phaeton Design figures ... rhuoommm ... there's always something to do ....

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

huooommm ... just saw your entry, Master Gildor .... huom ... yes indeed, I share your opinion about the price,  as also the base seems to be very much detailed ... huooommm ... I'm looking forward to holding that piece in my hands (or twigs, if you like) ...

Please master tree, let me know about the gray primer you use and its quality smile I'm still after some good "old mithril quality" gray spray smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

As you both say, the MS "Troll beating the living daylights out of Beregond" vignette seems a reasonable price for such a model - I'd have preffered it lower, but in comparison to other prices in the MS range it's not too bad.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Huuoommm ... primer ..... hoommm ... the one I received today already is the third can I ordered from the Company (alright, there's half left in the second can - I just wanted to be sure to have another one before it might not be available any more) ... huoommm ... so, that means that I'm absolutely satisfied with it (in case you don't get too close to what you want to spray) ... rhuoommm ... it's 400 ml and called HMG Etch primer (grey) produced in Manchester ... huom ... but Mistress Joan knows what you want if you ask her .... huooommm ... so, to be honest, I feel fine with it, after having experimented for some years with different stuffs ... huoommm  ... they charge 10 € for a can (though I also got a discount, as it was delivered with my auto-shipment) ... huoooomrhûooomtidommm ...
