Re: The Taproom

Yes, i'm one of those infrequent visitors these days.  Busy times take my attention and my travels are far and wide across the Wilderlands and beyond.  Nary a rumor of these lands ruled by such kings as Escoffier, Ritz, Keller, and Boulud has reached the sleepy hamlet of Bree.

I do have to start lobbying Mrs. Presto247365 for a nice Mithril Yuletide present again!  It will be here before you know it!

Re: The Taproom

Hey Barli, there's a completely unsubstantiated rumor going around that the Cleveland Browns will play a game in Birmingham in 2009, and Aston Villa will play a match in Cleveland.  Ha!!!!

Re: The Taproom

Interesting... but who will the Browns play? I assume this will be part of the regular season, like the NFL game played here last year?

Re: The Taproom

the user you see on member lists currently are random names generated by robots for spamming issues only, and since our forum is references in google , it has ended up here... it was doomed to happen one day or the other...
For the time being the only thing I can do is erase batches of these members once in a while... their emails is banned so they cannot , anyway, post in the forums and flood the forum... they can only flood the memberlist with their membership that's all... and it is easier to erase them in batches once a week than doing it one by one each time one is detected...
So, so far... our forum is secure:) no worry.... Gandalf tought me of good ward spells long time ago wink They shall not pass!!
Am I not a Noldo of old? wink

Re: The Taproom

G'day Presto and Kenakko - good to see you're still around (not that I can talk!) smile  And great work on watching for those spies from Mordor on our user lists Gildor - you never know what form they'll take (although with names like Nyspxvem, it's not always hard to tell - no offence intended if this is a real user with an obscure name)!  No knights have arrived down under Barli, as well, as at today, but as you say, the timing of the postage can be a bit variable - given how fast I paint (been crook the last couple of weeks, so poor old Farmer Maggot is still awaiting attention) that's never bothered me none.

Re: The Taproom

You should get the wargskin rugs to do it.

Interesting figure suggestion, incidentally!

About time too! Are they the "tiny bodyguards" you mentioned earlier?

Re: The Taproom

I wish there was really that much room in the Pony! - most of the time we're in each other's elbows (if you see what I mean...) - and where are the wargskin rugs? Ah, perhaps that's where the Tree has gone - they probably ran out when someone left the door ajar, and he's gone off to fetch them back.

Otherwise, an impressive rendition of the Pony on one of its busier nights - though I wish you'd given me my whiskers; Master Tubb did me no favours when he jokingly produced that little miniature after I briefly shaved them off (it was a passing Mrs B thing...she got over it once she saw what was underneath).

Huooommmmm .... wonderful, absolutely wonderful, Master Ddaines ... rhuoommm ... I already commented in the gallery about this .... huoommm ... but what is it between those Entish feet? ... rhuoommm ... hom

No, Master Barliman, those tiny bodyguards are of course not those Swan Knights .... rhuoommm .... much more tinier they are and haven't seen the light for quite some time .... hom ... I would rather say they provide a more dwarvish shape .... rhuoommm

Aha, this would be the second batch of the vertically challenged gentlemen with the initials MW, then? If so, then I certainly haven't heard anything.

I had to stand him up using some soft putty, but unfortunately I hadn't realised that it showed on the image until too late, so I tried hiding those little bits with photoshop.

Re: The Taproom

So the things under Master Tree's feet weren't the coiny things he's mentioned finding round his roots? That's disappointing - certain bar tabs might have been settled. Incidentally, I take the fact that you had to prop him up with putty as a tribute to the strength of my scrumpy!

Re: The Taproom

That must be it Master Barliman. I guess a similar "scrumpy effect" hit me, thats why I had to leave early when the pic was taken.... tongue
