Re: The Travelling Elrond

Yes, he still is. - Though, as some others did before, I am still hosting him for quite some time by now (no names mentioned here ...). He'll travel on further very soon to his next stop, as I received confirmation from Protozeus lately.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

LOL, he was suppossed to come to me in America six years ago, but I was going to be on vacation and didn't want to miss him in the mail. So I asked that my turn be skipped until later. That was when Marc still ran the old MMP. Now it will be another four years be fore he comes here. I will be an old greybeard by then!!!

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I do have a grey beard for years by now, that was even before Master Travelling Elrond arrived here. But what's wrong about grey beards? It provides some fuzzyness at your head, especially when you're about being bald at the top - er, that's another reason for my name here ... (Theo) BALD ... see, alright there also is a second meaning of that word I know about ... alas, that clearly is a different matter and would rather much extend the space available here in this thread if I had to explain that ...
What I just wanted to say, Master Twrich, is that I will hurry that guy very soon ... Huoomm ... I did order him to do so, at least twice a day last month ....imagine, that feller doesn't move an inch ... I'll find a solution, just be sure ...

What happened to Marc? I think I "left" without knowing what happened. Sorry to ask

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Hello old friend, Ori. No one knows for sure, or if someone does they haven't said. The person of old closest to him was Mistress Wendy, I think. But now even she seems to only visit a couple of tumes a year. I have tried to contact her on a few occassions by email, as we have some unfinished business. But I have not tried too hard or too often, as I know she has a recent addition to her family. As for Marc, I discovered he was "missing" when the old MMP site went down without notice. Thankfully our tireless Elf was able to sart this site and keep us all together.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

So in the ent I just packed Master Elrond. He'll be on his way again this week heading to Berlin. - Yes, I know, it took some time to have that done, but, you know ... I cannot haste everything. - Since January ... huoomm ... this year it was? ... I was contemplating what to add to his entourage. Today I decided to give him a 3rd table. - Maybe some of you could prime and paint that piece of furniture. - I first thought doing that myself ... right you are ... would have taken another year to prime and two more to paint. - So, dear Ent, I said to myself, leave that to others. I hope I was right.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, it also was a bit difficult to convince Hajo-Pai to let Elrond go. - Sorry, in case you dont know Hajo-Pai, I have to explain. Hajo-Pai I (the first)  is also called "King of the road", "Keeper of the House", "le gourmet", etc. pp. and he always keeps an eye on what he likes best. - I'd had better put him inside the box together with Elrond, but I don't trust the German Post very much.

You could try renaming him Schrodinger first. That way he might (or minght not...) be OK.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Just tried ... he didn't react, just looked at me without a smile in his eyes ... and as for names or renaming, he's not interested in that at all, as far as I know ... doesn't really meet his interest ... but such are cats, aren't they?

Re: The Travelling Elrond

They are indeed, and I don't think ours ever answers any name, whatever we call him (and the adjectives are many, varied, and imaginative). He only answers to the klink of a knife on his food plate. But sorry, I digress. I'm sure that someone will tell us soon (quite rightly) that the Taproom is the proper place for such banter...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Alas ... I don't know how to procede. It was always Mistress Wendy who kept record about the travels. As you all might have witnessed she's not been very much present for quite a while - unfortunately. - I hope she's well.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

those are great news, master Ent. I hope he can take a good german beer soon and take some nice photos of his journey.

About tarcking the travels, well, as you have said, Wendy hasn´t been seen here for a while... We can keep record all together, I think it couldn´t be difficult. But it will be great to see Mistress Wendy here more frecuently (and not only to keep the record, of course smile )

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Finally some time to relax...

I know it has been some time I have been here, but I stumbled on this http://madshobbithole.wordpress.com/ and was reminded what I missed over the last year.

Once I find my Mithril fellowship mail I will show up there, too, and perhaps update the list of the fellowship minis.

Somewhere the list with the milestones for Elrond must be still around. It would be a shame if he cannot finish his travel, and if he really makes it he certainly puts up the odd record :-)

What a wonderful hobbit house.....  I guess that is infinitely many effort, time and love necessary to make such a magnificent diorama. This is simply amazing... !!!!!!!!

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Winter is coming ... smile

And before snow blocks all passage from this city of Beorn, Elrond is about to leave this homely place soon, in order to let others take delight in his presence.

We will search and contact the next host soon, and provide additional cover against the cold on the roads.

Long is the story of the adventures of Elrond and his entourage in Berlin; maybe we can also provide some electric paintings soon. He also met and befriended the local cat guardians ...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Thank you, Protozeus, for hosting Elrond for a while. I dare to ask you for a favour: Could you please provide some pictures of Elrond and the content of the box here? - I am sure Mistress Wendy won't mind at all. But that might give others, which are not familiar with "our" Travellimg Elrond an idea again what all this is about. Thank you, Protozeus.
