Beregond and the Troll

Just a ‘draft’ copy of Beregond and the Troll to get this one painted up. I will be adding to this scene and touching the paintwork up a bit before it is finally completed, but as I am not at all Entish and far toooooo hasty, here is a sneak peek wink.

The wooden base is not the intended final base.

Re: Beregond and the Troll

I was inspired Gildor, inspired big_smile. As I say this will not be the final version as I want to add some more figures to it, but I thought it would be nice to get a couple of photos posted.

Had the troll been more the size of the older Mithril trolls this would have been a very 'Troll heavy' scene lol

If it is not a problem we could put preview of the pictures here, just before we send them to Michael....

Re: Beregond and the Troll

I intend to begin separating parts, and undercoat them and assemble what can be assembled tomorrow and begin painting the base

Welcome to my life, Yves smile I cannot almost talk with a big aphonia since first week of april... Now feeling much better, thanks my girlfriend care. I guess your family is doing the same, so we can see you soon here again drinking some beers.

Re: Beregond and the Troll

At the start it was Master David´s thread to post his amazing painting examples on the marvellous Berebond vignette !

Now it is somekind of Master Milo´s thread tp prepare his birthday, to talk about his illnesses and lead to wording-discussions.

Sad, what happened with master David´s thread . . .

Seems that "Hobbits" tend to "watering down" topics . . .

Sorry for saying that, but meanwhiling this kind of behaviour is braeking my . ''**#

Re: Beregond and the Troll

mmhh some cool drink is needed in thhere it seems smile and I agree many posts are irrelevant to this thread let's refocus, gentlemen

as for myself, I spent time this saturday morning to cut loose all the small parts , in itself, and in order to be careful it took me almost half an hour... only to consider my mistake... now I have all parts loose, all scabards mainly and I don't know which ones goes for which character... well I'll use the pics on the website...  this vignette is typically a vignette that would have required some more assembling pictures suggestions/notice from Mithril

Re: Beregond and the Troll

Yes, Master Gildor, good things need time, that is. As for a cool drink, I think we're right to settle troubles, that's the best way to do it, methinks. "Re-focus" you said, Master Gildor, and that's right again. - As for troubles, just go outside, focus a tree with its springing leaves, and think it is me. He will not harm you or even intend to do so. It's just me, the tree.
I never came across such a brilliant vignette so far. Yes, assembling and all that takes a lot of time. But once you finished, it turns out to be a real marvel. It's extraordinary.

Nice one David. I see a lot of improvements in the past 4 years. I still have my Prancing Poney diorama sitting on the bench.

Great Master Thingol. I like the all coloured scheme and rendering very much.
The way you improved the base is very nice also.

Re: Beregond and the Troll

Master Thingol- this is a very good effect to "let" the metal-parts being metal parts! (cool)
Covering the base with another material is also a good idea, as for the original "stone design" is a bit . . . roll
You know what I mean.

Re: Beregond and the Troll

Very good paint job indeed, Master Thingol, and very much detailed. - As it was said before, I also like the additional natural material on the base very much. Absolutely great!
