I guess it'll be called "The Hobbit 3: An Unexpected Movie...."
I suspect that none of us will be in the least disappointed with the end product - so long as nothing is entirely invented just to pad out the existing JRRT story. I have sufficient faith in PJ's itegrity to find that highly improbable.

That's cringeworthy Barli , what a shame there are so few folk about to cringe
. Perhaps if I throw some gold on the table for a drink all round some of the reg'lars might appear
!

"Cringeworthy" is my middle name.

Well once again, the dark corner has concealed me . . . . which is why I sit here in the first place. Umm, at least until I need another ale. Nob?! Nob, be a good fellow and . . . yes, yes, you know the drill. Hello David and Barli. And David, Not all that glitters is Gold.
However, your recent pictures in the Gallery of Eorl and Guthlaf is toast-worthy. So, (lifting my mug now that Nob has refilled it) here is to your excellent painting skills!

I think you're in the wrong room, Master Ranger. We're talking about the Hobbit movies in here. You obviously got lost in the dark!

They might call the movie: The Road Goes Ever On... and On and On

Unfortunately it seems, that the "other" company has got a nose on front concerning the upcoming event of the year: The Hobbit!
Sorry, this site is in German, but the lists of miniatures are in english . . .
Maybe we should wake the irish up. ( Hopefully the are working in the background already . . . )

Boar riders? Oh dear.... I'd heard that Dain arrives riding a boar, but had hoped it wasn't true. It sems, alas, that it is....
There are a dozen manufacturers of naff Dwarf figures punching the air in delight at this very moment, screaming "We were right all along! Dwarves ride boars!"
A great many of the other descriptions also fill me with considerable alarm. Willowhags? Mounted wights... We appear to be straying deep into Fantsay-with-a-capital-F territory.
And Bofur on a cold-drake? Are they working to the same Hobbit book that I've read?

.... all those figures will be far away from me, for sure.... I do not intend to spend any penny on them....

Well, I shall certainly wait before I spend anything on them, but I shall wait to see what the Men of Laketown, Bardings and Beornings look like before I dismiss them out of hand.
The presence of Grimbeorn in the range appears to confirm the rumours that the story may be taken up as far as the Battles in the North during the War of the Ring....assuming, of course, that the entire list isn't just a hoax; and that GW haven't peppered it with their own abominable inventions.

Whew, that's a relief. I've just spoken to someone in the know at GW, and he describes the list as "a load of bullshite". It's apparently an utter fabrication, "but very cleverly done".

This list has even made the pages of TheOneRing web-site

You can fool all of the people some of the time. and some of the people most of the time, as we say here in Bree.

ahhh- The White Council!
Please have a look at the table surface and also at the ground . . .
Seems, that The Man was very close to P.J. or to whoever . . .

mmhh but where is Cirdan in this council?
anyway I really like Thranduil, a good choice!

Very nice scene... great surrounding... even without Cirdan looks great...
... about Thranduil - Elves without doubt, always look young... forever young

Good finds, Master Turambar. You're as good at finding movie-related news as Master Milo is at finding stray Mithril figures on eBay!
Both Thranduil and the Council look great - though like Master Gildor, I'd have thought Cirdan at least would also be there (perhaps the casting budget was a bit short of funds...).

Just pop on this site every once in a while Barli: http://www.theonering.net/ But be aware there is an imposter posing as you somewhere

now that's odd to see sir Ian McKellen as Prospero... how odd to see the Tempest played by an actor who plays Gandalf... while at the same time, Chris sculpts both Mithril... and the Tempest LOL
