Ahhhh well I see our master caster has posted around he is back!!

as mysterious as it is... I dreamed about him last night... not him directly but I was receiving a package from him though the dream did not reveal what was in it...  how strange

Hi everyone,

I just come here 5 minutes to say hellow.
I am back from the old forrest. Great mysteries, greats trees leave there.
A short scrumpy (as a start) would  please me... wink

Master Gildor, I did not dream of you sorry, my own dreams were about being back home.
With 41°C outside where I stand, a hobbit hole is best place to dream about. roll

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Imagine this, Master Barliman:

just finished the test for tonight, which drink tasted better: a Caipirinha or a Mojito!
( yes, there was fresh spanish mint right outta the garden- hicks- and fresh limes outta somewhere!)
And what do you think was the result . . . hicks . . . ?

The result was doubtless that you all ended up intoxicated and suffering from hangovers, I'd imagine. But I hope it was at least worth it.

Everyone's been in the Phaeton room, Master Ranger, listeniing with interest to the latest rumour. I'll get you an ale while you saunter over there.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I need one too having been away for the weekend! I'd best get my cheque book out and catch up with the Phaeton stuff smile.

I've just seen the GF latest figures, must admit I thought Goldberry woudl have been actually in the water with the river flowing around her neutral.

Anyhow, I've got to have my annual eyeball test soon so I'd best get a pair of goggles that will magnify the new stuff enough to paint big_smile

Yes I thought as you did David. hmm
And even if mad Denthor sounds & looks good, winning suggestion was Denethor burning. Quite different from original ideas no ?

Master Barliman, please bring me a galion as getting back to work made me very thirsty !big_smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I was also surprised with Goldbery...I thought it would be more original sculpted.....  but it is to late now.... about Denethor.... we could paint them with a mixed shades of orange, yellow and red color smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

She's actually rather similar to M321, and not as good as LR28 (my personal favourite in terms of catching the "spirit" of JRRT's creation).

Thirsty? I am NOT. I drunk so much liquid stuff accros my weekend-visit at Master Theobald´s house that it will last a bit . . .

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

About Goldberry and Denethor, really very disappointed with both minis. Totally different of what most of us would expect, I think.

I doubt that I'll buy those two at this moment. Better to save money for Phaeton Vignette.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Well, concerning Goldberry I agree completely. But you can make a nice diorama using 2K water. But: I doubt that it will be sophisticated . . .
Contrary to all expectations I like Denethor. Especially the great ball looks very extraordinary. I think the ball is called: Palantir, isn´t it . . .
I quote Master imisel: Better save money for the Phaeton vignette.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Yes, true, I feel small diorama for goldberry can be nice & easy.
And as I said, I like very much mad denethor, even if it's not the suggestion we voted for.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I do not share your feelings Imisel. Even if the original suggestion wanted to have Goldberry in the river with her feet and lower legs submerged, Chris tried this originally but with the base being so small it was hard to convey the idea of water and she just looked a little too " Toulouse Lautrec" so he re-made her as a full figure.
I will create a clear transparent base with a river bed and emerge the figure by 1 cm.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

thanks a lot for the feedback, Mornedhel... I didn't know all of these problems with the original design for Goldberry - so I cleary understand now the changes with the original vote.

About Denethor, I love the mini, don't misunderstand me - The palantir is great in Denethor's hands. But I liked to see him surrounded by flames, that's why I voted that idea in origin. I'm not saying minis are not fine, but I was a different metal vision of them, that's all.
