Is there any GF figure this month? I don´t received any message from Michael?....
Offline
I have been wondering the same thing. I check the Gold Fellowship site every day. I think that Michael is very busy with the new Website at Prince August and has not had time to start the next month suggestions.

I agree Michael must be very busy.
Still, posting short news on the GF forum takes maximum 2 minutes.
There was supposed to be a painting competiton in september also.
I wonder why no images of fans artworks are provided yet.
Not enough competitors ? Not enough time ?
In such cases, at least a short post on the forum would be welcomed ...

... maybe Michael may have been fired, or Mithril failed, or he is ill, or has fallen in love... or he has forgotten, or he went on a trip, or he is smoking a pipe on a green Irish hills ... who knows where he is...
I'm curious to know the results of the competition. I'd like to win at least a consolation prize... ( one figure
) I'm a little short with money last days....

What kind of pipe, I wonder?

if I remember well, this month was supposed to be the switch from old prince august (and subdivisions) websites to the new website architecture and I know it can take 100% daytime in such cases so he must be really busy switching all data...
that may explain the silence

He seems to have 'Twittered' 8 hours ago, not that I twitter, I just clicked the PA link

Yes David. And there is this nice tweet about mithril:
"Planning on pre-releasing a brand new Mithril miniature this week. "Funeral boat of Boromir". Should be available in 10 days for shipping. "

That's a good news
for a good idea
But at what price ?
60€ for one piece it's a more expensive for me (like MS578) . It's a shame because they 're beautiful.
Maybe there will be in promotions for Christmas?

Suggestions are opened !
Good news

Everything comes to he who waits, as the saying goes. I'm sure the Tree would have advised us not to be hasty!

I can't imagine the funeral boat to be more than 30 or 40€ max... there is no special sculpting or base... the boat is hollow and quite raw...
Offline
I hope it will be 30 Euros max.... not 40.... but what about 'Goldberry communing with river' ....... !!??!?!? Will it be this month two figures released to selling, or will it skip this simple sculpted solution of Goldbery...

I really hope that Boromir and boat are separate castings
, but I guess that may make the price a lot higher
Offline
oh but they are... the boat is one or two pieces, boromir is one piece and there is lot of stuff in the boat beside Boromir. there are lot of little items actually (though I can't say if the "whole stuff" is a pile of single cast, or different pieces...

That would be good news then Gildor
. I have three small boats from Ebob miniatures which were to be used (eventually
) with a Farewell to Lothlorien idea I have on the 'to do list'.
I would prefer to keep a continuity with CT/Mithril produced stuff even if it ends up costing more

Huooommmm ... rhuom ... "everything comes to he who waits" is a saying we Ents do know well, Master Barliman ... huoommm ... so there'll be that lady communing with a river and that boat with a dead person in it ... rhuom ... we all have seen pictures ... rhuoommm ... but, er, what about that bellydancer? ... hom ... I hope she'll turn out to be a very nice figure ... huom ... all right then, it's just that I want to let you know that I'm back from some serious enterprises ... rhuoommm ... now I'm in need of a bowl of .... alas, you know what .... huuooôm ... hom

huûommm .... nay, Master Barliman, that good-old-rotten-non-sparkeling-honey-coloured-and-sweet-tasting-watery liquid would do for me right now ... the one with the rat-tails hanging over the brim ... though never causing any hangover, yer know ... huoommm ... a small drop of clear-clean water being added might be fine to reveil the taste at the tongue well enough ... rhuoommm ...ah, I forgot to say that if the rat-tails do not hang over the brim, you might top it up, please ... thank you ...hom

Might have to get Nob to find some more rats first.
And welcome back form wherever you were. Always good to have a tree in the taproom, Master Tree, to filter the smoke hanging under the rafters.
Offline
Ahhhhh-
so the Tree is back from what he call "serious enterprises". I am also glad about that fact.
I am sure he was missing some other kind of "serious enterprises". . .
Anyway- let´s invite him to what he loved so much: good-old-rotten-non-sparkeling-honey-coloured-and-sweet-tasting-watery liquid.
Cheers!

huoommm ... as for the rafters you mentioned, Master Barliman, they still are low .... gruômm .. and I'm not around here to filter anything ... rhuoomm ... except that nice-smelling-cloud from that Man in the Dark over there ...huôum ... er, cheers, by the way, Master Turambar . . . huoomm ... did he say invite or rather meant it's his treat? ... rhuôm ... but who knows archers which are none .... hooommmm .... yes, very much serious enterprises that were indeed ... huoomm ... who else of you cares about the quality of the Riesling at the River Mosel ... huooomm ... none I'd say and be sure ....huooommm .... and rest a while .... hoooommmrhuôm .... ~~~~~ > ! .... ? .... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . hoommmmm
Offline
Ah Master Tree, you can always come over by me in the dark corner, where the smoke is thick. And I would certainly enjoy a sample of the Riesling that you speak of! ;-)
Offline
This isn't a "bring your own bottle" party, gentlemen. I like to hear the cash register chinking!
Offline
Huoommm .... no bottles being taken here or being allowed to be taken in here, of course, Master Barliman ... huom ... look at me, please ... where should a bare-bald tree hide any bottles? ... rhuôomm ... I'm just in here because it's a bit warmer now than outside ... hoommm ... I'm not the one tiptoing around under an umbrellar singing, yer know ... huom ... ... better to have a somehow warmer place to stay for a while ... rhuoommm ... I better move to that dark corner over there to enjoy the very much pleasant and eloquent atmosphere while the smoke still is sick ... huom ... waiting on a free drink from the barkeep, as he promised me to offer one ... huom ... Ent-drinks, by the way shouldn't be offered in glasses for digestives, Master Barliman ...
no cups or mugs, please ... huoommm ... a bowl would be fine ... rhuuômmm ...
