Cheers to the MS439 figure!  The "king of the dead" becomes another figure out of stock.  Will happen again as with Halbarad MS437? .... The king is dead, long live the king! big_smile

Beware that there are some MS gigures stock lower. Maybe it's time to buy ........ roll

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

huoooommmm ... but you have to keep in mind some difference, Master Erchamion ... huom ... that Halbarad-figure is out of stock, because the mould cannot be used any more ... rhuoomm ... as for the others it simply means that the first batch that was casted is out of stock at the moment ... huomrhûom ... so concerning these figures a second batch could be casted if there's need or interest to do so .... huom ... Mithril reduced the number of first castings down to 150 figures, some while ago ... of course this isnot the same with the MX-figures ... huoommm ... all this does not explain the "disappearance" of the Christmas-Theoden-figure, which is not even listed any more ... rhuom ... I also tried to find out about this last matter but just received some weird "explanations" from the Company ... hhuuu^0mmmmm

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Yes, Master Theobald, I have a personal opinion about it. Figures MS that will become out of stock will take a looooong time in released again (unless there is a very high demand for some specific reason).  It isn´t profitable to make a new batch of 150 figures for a few potential new GF members interested in buying GF figures discontinued.....roll

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

huooommm ... unfortunately you are absolutely right with this way of thinking, Master Erchamion, I do share your opinion and your arguments ... huomm ... so, better mark those sold-out ones as gone for good ... rhuomm ... I just wanted to point out a slight difference between sold-out figures of  a one, first batch and the fact that some figures cannot be casted again because of broken moulds ... huom ... so MS-Halbarad (mounted) has become quite close to the good-old M16 Lady ... hom ... er, I mean in terms of miniature releases, not according to The Book, of course ... huomm ... but that's where we are, right?

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

huoomm ... and yes, Master Milo, I also think that the information provided on the new Mithril webpage about "remaining in stock" is quite interesting .. huom ... that way I learned that the MX-UP is sold out by now which before then I doubted ... rhuom ... huôm ... huomm ... on the other hand that "remaining in stock" information also is a nice teaser provided by the Company selling the figures ... rhuom ... on the one hand it informs you about availability and maybe coming rareness of figures, on the other hand it intends that you react as soon as possible to lay a hand on figures that will be out of stock sooner or later  ... rhuomm ... there are always two sides of a medal as Master Barliman used to say ... rhuoomm ...

And still does. Unless we're talking three-dimensional maths, of course.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

huoomm ... er, I really don't mind being offered some free drinks at all ... huom ... which, unexpectedly, are "on the house" as Master Barliman announced ... huoomm ... I never experienced something like that in what I'd like to call double-generosity from our barkeep before ... rhûom ... so thanks ... huom
HUoomm ... as for another matter I would like to remind you, Mistress Sevlag, that this isn't just a sqirrel or a new pet ... rhuôm ... it's "Morlas, the prince of squirrels", so better mind that ... huomm ... alas, there's some history with that figure ... hom ... well, it dates back a bit ... so let me tell you, if you don't mind ... huoommm ... all started many years ago with a suggestion for an MS-release ... the "West Gate of Moria" ... huom ... well, that suggestion won in those days ... huom ... after a long time it was reveiled that this idea could not be casted, as it would be to "heavy", including the door, the rocky landscape, etc. ... huuoommm . the place (of that suggestion in terms of MS-subreferences was still kept for some years until later it was replaced by another release) .... rhu^0m ... Master Bombadil, the one who once suggested that "Western Gate" was annoyed about these developments and placed his anger in public ... gruomm ... he was that much angry that he said, that if not a Moria West Gate could be produced by the company he next time would better suggest something smaller, such as a prince of squirrels from some forest, as it would better match the ability of the Company to ideas ... rhuoommm ... all went wrong with that, until Chris Tubb decided to sculpt "Morlas, the prince of Squirrels" as a compensation for what went wrong with that Moria Gate. ...huommm ... I think it was a very generous gift, as only 3 castings were made ... huoomm ... Master Bombadil gave one of those to me and another one to Master Gildor ... huom ... after some increased interest in that weird Prince Master Gildor managed to convince Master Tubb to have some more 30 extra castings, which were not sold, but just given ... rhuomm ... if you know what I mean ... as it pleases my concept very much, as you might already have witnessed ... hom
So, that's the story of Morlas, as far as I know  ... though ... I always like to call him Môrlas, as môr means dark in some Tolkien-language ... huoommm ... and please, don't regard him being cute ... he's a PRINCE ... huom ... at least ... that's all I know of ...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

huoomm ... sorry, but I just had the idea to provide some information about the PRINCE here as I don't know where to put it elsewhere ... ?  ... rhuoommm ... alas ... what do one need after having been that much talkative again, Master Barliman ...?

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

You will be able to check, Mistress sevlag, the Master Tree is very knowledgeable in all this. Not surprisingly, he has many thousands of years of accumulated wisdom, and certainly he is one of the best people to answer any questions regarding the Mithril figures. wink
I'm glad you enjoy with this little squirrel and drink to the generosity of Master hsf62 smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Well, the first siting of Legolas and Gimli on horseback shows it to be a very nice figure indeed. I shall look forward to getting it.

Also nice to have the Hobbit series of figures confirmed!

Looks like being a good year!
