Huooomm ... Master Barliman, sorry I forgot to pay for last night ... though it wasn't necessary as there were so many people paying for drinks ... so I rather kept away from doing likewise ... huoomm ... I am sure you understand me well ... rhuômmmm

I think the win would have been more convincing if more people had voted. An MS figure winning with a total of just 7 votes is rather a sad state of affairs.

True Master Barliman. 7 votes only is mostly due to the fact that there was only 1 round for voting. With a 2nd round, Bogatung may have not be winner at the end.
Regarding state of affairs, 29 votes in total is low...But this is the case since I joined GF in 2010.

In a perfect world the number of Fellowship members should have increased in that time, whereas instead it seems to have dropped.

Yes and we both know why...
Offline
Alas, yes.

huoomm ... and why? ... rhuom ... what do you think? ... is it because of the price for the figures or because some suggestions did not find enough interest? ... huomm ... or a mixture of both? ... huom ... maybe there could be also a development that today the interest in miniatures in general has declined, but I dunno ... hom ...

A mixture of all of the above, perhaps. There certainly seems to be a gradual decline in the number of people who participate in both suggesting and voting. I confess that I haven't made many suggestions myself in the past few months, but that's simply because other people keep making suggestions that I'd have made myself if I'd got there first! But I always vote. What is noticeable is that a lot of the original members seem to have faded away - both from MMP and the Fellowship. Apathy, perhaps? Or real life taking priority over hobbies? I'm sure that's happened to us all at some point in our lives.

huooommm ... I see ... and yes, I also did not make many suggestions myself in the recent past, but I also do take part in the voting-process each time ... rhuoomm ... I will keep on collecting those tiny metal-things though that also makes me a bit frustrated sometimes, because it has become clear that I will never have enough time to paint all of them properly ... huoomm ... except I manage to extend my lifetime a little bit ... huom rhuom hom ...

Never say never, Master Tree!

Well, here I am just returned from Oop North to celebrate a 3rd Birthday this week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and find that I have missed The Tree's own sprouting anniversary
.
Many Happy Returns Master Tree, and may you have many more
.
On the ebay front I am happy as I picked up The Prancing Pony M113 (Strider, Frodo & Sam) for £1.28 + P &P, and one of the seated card players for £3.29 + P & P.
My Council of Elrond moves a step closer

Huoomm ... so Master O'Brien just estimated the price for that new-and-marvellous vignette ... rhuouôm ... what I read is, that it's about the price for the MX-UP ... rhuooomm ... that means, let me guess ... 200 € max.... rhuomm ... or, if wer're lucky about 150 € ... rhuoommm ... as the vignette is not an MX and suchwise is not limited , I think it would be rather more 150, but nothing less ... rhuom ... gruuoommm ... let me think ... please ...huoommm ...
the new vignette has less figures than the good-old MX-UP ... rhuuom, but those figures in the new vignette really cannot be compared with dwarves .... rhuoommm ... my guess is ........................ between 160 and 200 coiny-things ... huommmm
Offline
Which is a lot of coiny things.

I'll buy you a pint if it's less than €160.
One observation I've been meaning to make for a while, by the way, is that it would be nice if the figures could be sold separately, like all other M figures.

It was not me then Master SW as I only bid on two and won both
- I don't normally bid these days but these were 'essentials' to a Master Plan

Huoomm ... sorry, Master Barliman, but something around here has been hampering our serious discussion in that Prancing-Pony-Thing massively ... sorry ... I will try another day ... grrrruouômph ...

huoomm ... thank you for publishing that one, Mater Ddaines ... grrrrrrruom ... yes indeed, I would have also been annoyed by such mindless comments ... including them grinning icons ... huoommm ... and I really do not appreciate such behavoiour in our Prancing Pony here ... rhuoomm ... as far as it might concern me ... huomm ... I will just stay here and comment a bit ... GGGruôm ... huoomm ... Sam?Wise? ... he's not, maybe a living pun ... gruuoomm ... sorry ... no harm intended ... huomm ... in case I'm in need of a lawyer, there's a troll-lawyer I can rely upon .... rhuom ? ... Carmeosis might be his name .... huomm ... alas ... huommm ... I better go to bed now instead of quarrelling around here ... huoomm ... more better things to do tomorrow ... gruoummm ....

Master Barliman, please, bring me a drink, something very strong.
My colleague lost his 8 years old son yesterday...
I am about to go to funeral and I do not know if I will be able to support this.
