Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Huoommm ... you're a lucky Man in the Dark ... huomm ... poor Nob isn't able to carry a bowl of clear-clean-just-slightly-honey-coloured-watery-liquid over to my place ... rhuoom ... so I'll have to wait for Master Barliman to arrive and take up his business again ... huom ... but I'm patient, as I guess that our dear barkeep might have also taken a nip of that rat-tailed-scrumpy-thing and now still is digesting a bit ... rhuoommm ...

Actually, that probably explains why I've been a little unwell in my nether region for a few days. Food poisoning strikes food poisoners too, if they're not careful...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Hi Master Barliman,

I see Master Gildor is around and I feel should offer him a drink as he could not celebrate my mithril collection achievement last time.
Please Gildor, take a sit and have a drink with us !

Cheers ! tongue

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Yes indeed, Master M. By  the way, that's a nice picture young Xenophile has posted tonight, isn't it? I see now where The Man's inspiration came from for the Fellowship Aragorn & Palantir. I hadn't reralised that before.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

This is really a wonderful miniature and also a new image for mithril database! Do you know if more casts of it exist or is it unique ?

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Too bad it did not go under production really.

I love the poney attitude.

It would have been a marvelous complement to M60 for LotR and M162 for the Hobbit...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Here's an idea. Next time the Fellowship has a "mounted figure" month we ought to suggest this fellow - either The Man could then produce a facsimile, or the original prototype could be stripped and tidied up and used as the master for new castings. I don't know a lot about casting figures, but that may be possible. Either way it would be an "easier" figure month for The Man.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Doesn't need to be Bilbo, of course - just "a Hobbit on a pony", exactly as Master M. described him.

Well yes, of course, but the old mounted Hobbit "scout" is not very widely available, and is a less interesting figure.
