I was going to suggest that he can't bear having his picture taken, but I decided not to.

I hope you are right Master B. To me, Beorn is a MUST in the hobbit. I would really be very disapointed not to visit his hall...

I should have guessed. USA gets everything first AND at the lowest prices too....

what surprises me is that it seems this collector edition only exists in Blu-Ray? and Ultraviolet (which is still not a lot widespread but would allow to stream the movie...
Still I'd like to have a DVD..... isn't it possible??
Offline
Well, there's a DVD of the standard edition, so I think it's reasonable to hope that there will be a DVD of the "collector's" edition too - though I do get the feeling these days that the industry as a whole is trying to bully everyone into buying a blue-ray player and a 3D television.

There is also an extended edition which is said to be available on november 5th (http://www.amazon.com/The-Hobbit-Unexpe … _sim_mov_4).
This sounds more interresting to me (better movie, less expensive).
Do you think there will be later an extended collector edition ?
Offline
Wouldn't surprise me, Master Milo! The studio will milk the project as many ways as they can! Which reminds me - I must go and feed Bob's cat.
Offline
well milo, the edition you link is the same art cover as the big one with the statue.. but without the statue, so yes I assume it is the same, but... it also means Blu-Ray + Ultraviolet...... no DVD
in the worst case, Ultraviolet would be fine I suppose but I'd like to have a physical media.... I don't have any TV... but I'd need to buy myself a Blu-Ray computer drive

Gildor... If you scroll a little bit below you will find DVD + Ultra violet for 24,49 / http://www.amazon.com/The-Hobbit-Unexpe … d_cp_mov_1

Rather good although I wouldn't care to sit through 3 hours of LEGO action

I have whatched the "Lego-trailer" together with mr. Tree. Absolutely brilliant stuff!
And very enjoyable.
The question: where are further informations about the second film.
Very less information. They could overswallow us. Why don´t they take taht chance . . .?
