it is december suggestion, not november (I wonder where the Haradan Musician has gone??) and I don't think I'm wrong in saying I was the one who submitted it, I don't remember ddaines submitting it?

I wondered what all the fuss was about, not having logged on for a day or so and seeing my name big_smile. I think more than one of us has submitted a suggestion that didn't win first time, but may have won when suggested by another (the Three Trolls springs to mind) winkcool.

Tom, good to see you got home safe and sound, I hope the remainder of your travels went okay.

10:20 .
At this point of time, the Tree posted this, I was still asleep . . . somewhere in the Ent´s house . . . peacefully! Pillowed in smoothy sheets.
I remember to weak up at 11:17. I met his gentle Entwife preparing me a delicious cup of coffee ( such a cup of coffe you only can dream about it, Master Barliman! )
But this is a story to be told somewhere else . . . these days.

A worthy toast to one of the world's finest. An irascible man, by all accounts, but his creative genius as an author will never be surpassed - who today would be prepared to devote the time and attention necessary to create an entire legendarium the way he did?

The best comment on his remarkable achievement that I've ever read says simply: "How, given little over half a century of work, did one man become the creative equivalent of a people?"

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

All of us have changing priorities as our lives, health, situations and responsibilties change, and consequently our priorities fluctuate with time. But it's always a shame when someone gives up a hobby that has given them a lot of pleasure over the years. But who knows? - Master Bombadil and the Marshal may come back to the fold at some point in the future. I hope they do.

In the meantime, I shall join you for a drink, Master Tree, to wish them all the best in the meantime.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Hi Master Barliman,

It's been a while since I took breakfast here. Can I have one today ?
I received new MS589 & MS590 yesterday. I would say these are quite nice miniatures. Still, not the best ones sculpted by the man this year.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

That's disappointing - they look good in the photos. I still have to buy MS587–MS590, but since I can't afford them at the moment I'm waiting for the right "discount offer"! (I shan't buy MS586 at all - he's just too inaccurate compared to JRRT's description of the scene.)

Hi folks!

Have you heard the news of a new company (not GW) making miniatures in 30mm of Middle-earth?
