Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Ah ha- it´s Christmas day in a while, isn´t it?

It is tradition having a goose fresh outta the oven on that day with my family!
That means- though the bird is already " in the house"- there is the posibility of a special "before-Christmas-meal" this evening:
Fried goose liver with the last rose-Roscoff-ognion from our holiday in Bretagne and a delicious apple out of the garden cut in little pieces.

And now- only one thing is missing: a cool pint of scrumpy!  tongue

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

We should give Master Barliman the chance to undergo further training in mixing cocktails . . .

This will certainly further enhance the offer in our beloved inn.... Who knows what all shaken hobbits and elves into their drinks... Middle Earth is a mysterious area...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Cocktails? I know all about them – where did you folk think I get the little umbrellas I add to the mugs of scrumpy? I just don't serve them. There's too much phaffing about spent making them, and not enough good drinking in any of 'em. The only one I serve is my famous "yard of Margarita", and anyone who can drain a full measure of that and survive without brain damage or alcohol poisoning has all his bartabs cancelled.

That damn Golden Dwarf, I hate it, but the cocktail looks very nice!!! lol

Enjoy the goose Master Archer - not the goose that laid the 'golden-dwarf' though I hope lol

In case I am not around for a day or two I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I'm about to go and try one of these Golden Dwarf cocktails myself, so in case I'm not capable of talking afterwards, I'll wish all of you and yours a very Merry Christmas now! And thanks for all your custom in the past year.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Merry Christmas Day to all!!

The Grandkids have opened the presents, and the other gifts have been given. Now the turkey is roasting (but the dinner guests have yet to arrive) and I have found a nice dark corner to rest a bit from the hustle and bustle, and enjoy a nice cold beer!!

Life is good, friends!  ;-)

Huooommmrhuom ... it's me, the tree that is ... huomm ... I got just off all that tinselly-stuff, which wasn't worth to be worn this year in the Pony ... rhuomm ... I do remember better times ... hom ...  and, mind, please, all the time I kept still and didn't say a word ... huooomm ... anyway, I don't want to complain about such minor matters ... hoooommm ... I received the Christmas-figure today ... hom ... so, nearly about in time that is ... but as you might guess I'm not disappointed about such a slight delay ... rhuôm ... those Irish are like us trees, methinks ... they cannot haste each and everything ... huom ... and besides, the parcel was posted on 17th ... rhuom ... so I just guess that it's not the Company which is responsible for delays ... huomm ...
