What, you thought you were getting a poem?

I have had issues with brushes recently. Nothing works as well as the older brushes I had. Facial details which would have been easy with the old brushes are now insanely difficult. Details that were almost forgetable in terms of effort are now tricky as all hell.

To be sure, the old brushes were dying for a year before they died. But they did some great service. My beloved Imrahil MX model was the last time I used those brushes.

since then I have tried many other brushes. None come close. Indeed, few brushes can cope with the rigours of painting metal models with acyrillic paint with that weird liquid that passes for water in our house. Some "afro" within days.

For best results I need a short brush, with a good pointy tip.

Each time I'd gone to the various art supply stores in Montreal looking for those old brushes. They were perfect. they were beautiful. They were...impossible to get.

Found one of the old brushes in a waste paper basket yesterday. Googled it. After much googling, I found this:

Taa-daa! It was them! A whole set. Beautiful and blue and just what I want.

They don't deliver to Canada. So in a day or two I am ordering two sets. Shipping them to my mother in Ireland, getting her to mail them to me.

sighh...The things I do for this hobby!
