Re: The Travelling Elrond

Now it is over 1/2 year since news about Elrond. Did he ever make it to the "Land Down Under?"

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Have a close look at the list and you will find your answer, Master twrich.

Well, whoever is hosting Master Elrond at present, he should overthink that his name is:
TRAVELLING Elrond and NOT
PARKING Elrond !!!!!
Please respect this and send him on his journey, Master whoever . . .  !!!!!

Have a close look at the list and you know where Master elrond is! I can“t remember to see any pictures from this location.
So- if this person is not interesting in this, please sent him on . . . and do not block this !

Where there is a will there is a way, just as there are no problems, only solutions! Guess it depends on ones own perspective of the matter at that time big_smile

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I am sure he's not down under. I will try to retrace Elrond's latest stays. I hope I kept record. He was at my place a very long time ago and then I sent him to who was next in line ... I'll let you know later today.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, though Trees do not forget, I had to do some research about the possible stay of our "Travelling Elrond". This is what I found out so far:
I received the parcel with Elrond late in 2011. As many others before (I could read that from all the comments in the booklet included) I confess quite frankly that I hosted him for too long (about a quarter of a year). Sorry for that, but others before me hosted him for even a longer time. - Next in line to me was Ben, named Protozeus, then a serious Mithril-collector and Wendy listed him after me. (Just if you wonder, Protozeus never took actively part on any Mithril-forum.) According to Wendy's list I sent the parcel to Berlin and Ben confirmed to have received it early in 2012.
Since then I thought Elrond would travel on as it was planned.
The next stop would have been at Halbarad II.
So what can I do? - I just sent an email to Protozeus asking about information. If I do not receive an answer I will contact Halbarad II if he has received the Travelling Elrond yet. So by then it should be possible to locate Elrond's present stay.
To be honest, I am very sad to learn that Elrond's Travel has been interrupted for so long. I just hope he didn't get lost, as there are so many valuable attachments in the parcel, as far as I could witness.
I will keep you informed here and that's the only thing I can do now.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, I just had a look at my archives and found a picture I never posted here. It's called "Elrond and me" and was taken on December 11th in 2011. It's not of good quality but some sentimental feelings told me to put it here.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Er, in the Ent I found out. Elrond still is save in Berlin, but was forgotten though he was was taken care of. Sometimes life does not go the way you want to ... as some of us might know. -  Ben assured me to pass him on next week to the next host, who I think is Halbarad II. After him Turambar will be next as I can recall. .... I miss Mistress Wendy here, who started all this "Travelling-Elrond-thing" huoom ... it is worth it for everyone to receive the parcel including Elrond and having a closer look.
Be sure, that I will ever be concerned with our "Travelling Elrond". I feel a bit obliged to do so, after contact to Mistress Wendy went lost. -  If you all don't mind. - I just try to do the best  I can (which isn't very much, of course, as at the moment I'm still trying to help out Master Barliman in the Pony for another while ... huoommm ... hope that is settled for today .

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Ah, I just witnessed that some Trees can be hasty if you just have a look at the time of my latest entries ... and I decided to act on my own, as for arranging an Enthing some time would pass before anything could be mentioned or even discussed ...  Ents are not easily convinced to act, as you might know.
Though once they have decided, you cannot stop them ... as  MasterTolkien confirmed. ... That's all there is.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

It is good to know that our Elrond will travel again... I hope he will arrive in the grandma's garden while the garden is still there... after all those photos it will be pity that he will not be photographed - "on the spot".... grandma does not live here any more and old house will soon fall into the mordor arms sad

I thing this Elrond's travel does not depends on the slowness of the Elf's wisdom but only about human laziness and the absence of child's imagination...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Sad news indeed, Thingol. I am really sorry about this. - Unfortunately I have to guess that Elrond will not arrive in time to take some pics in your Grandma's Garden as there still are so many stays planned according to the list before he might travel to Croatia. - And yes, the slowness of Elrond's Travel is not caused by his wisdom, but rather a matter of human laziness, as you called it. I hope I managed to get him moving again.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Thank you Master Ent for seeing to these matters! I also am sad about the "disappearance" of Wendy--as you know from our conversations. Well, then, maybe if Elrond continues his journey we will still have a bit of Wendy with us.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Ah Ori, it is good to see you (figuratively, of course) about these premises. And of course you are correct that the Immortal Elrond has no need to hurry. But those of us who are not immortal--everyone--don't have forever to enjoy his company!smile

Yes Nino, I think you are correct, but one can hope . . . .

And thank you Master Tree for your comments above, I have not forgotten, and will be in touch with you about this and other matters before too long. But I have learned from you, my good friend, to try not to be hasty.

Hi!
I lost my password into this pages, but now I searched my memory and found it again.
I've got news from the North that Elrond will be on the way to my place, so I do expect him most joyfully!
I'm sure that there will be some new nice pictures from his journey soon!

Yet hope remains while all the company ist true.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Right, but to be honest, some (plural !!!) of those who hosted our Travelling Elrond so far kept him for too Long, I think.

I know this because I already was a lucky one to host him and because of that remember what some or even many people wrote in the booklet that is attached to the "Elrond-parcel". I often read sentences, like    "... I'm sorry, I know I kept Elrond a bit too long ... "

Well, but you know I'm not the one who can criticize that. Though this year I felt a bit forced to intervene. It seems to have worked a bit. I think we don't want to have a Travelling Elrond covered with lichen, do we?
