Politics are best not discussed at any time, but I can't escape the feeling that Putin is a dangerous, inflexible, power-hungry man with an as yet unclear agenda regarding his neighbours. Just my opinion.

that depends the countries Mornhedhel... In France, and around me especially, people were anti-putin... and discussing such matters here could quickly switch to something a bit too far off topic

Very true, Master Elf. There are many more appropriate places to rage about world politics. I shall just sit back here in the yard in the spring sunshine and sip ice-cold lager with a touch of limejuice. Magic.

Lager and lime juice, far more interesting
In my small country we only drink lime-juice and beer together with a special kind of beer : "White beer" as Celis from US, Blanche de Namur or Hoegaarden.

Ah yes, I know weissbier. You can get it in Bree (ahem, the UK) too, though personally I don't like it. I find it a bit "heavy".
Here we have lime with lager and some imported light beers - it's the ideal combination for a really hot day, though since it makes the drink much more like a "soft drink" it can trick you into drinking too much of it if you're not careful!

Putin... is just one reincarnation of nazguls... but it is not the only one.... there are another 8 bad guys around him... but any way history of the politics is like joke about how the three shits who went to trim the trees. They met the diarrhea on their way to the woods, and he asked them if he can go with them cut down trees. And they told him: "We accept only solid guys" ... that's what politics is.... no criteria for diversity of human life.....
.... one "soft drink" please master innkeeper... I'm ready to be hooked on deceptive drinks on this sunny afternoon.....

Coming right up!

Talking politics?? ..... My grandfather said that meetings you should not talk about politics or football ........ It is difficult to agree with people on these issues ....
An ale with rat tail, please! ...... Today I want something more "solid" .....
Offline
Same adage applies in Bree and everywhere I think, Master Erchamion - never talk about sport or politics unless you want to end up having an argument. Which is why I dropped the subject.
One beer with rat's tail coming up (and it will come up after you've drunk it)...

Very nice estate indeed. Why leaving such a paradise for our cold europe?

I would say: luxurious. Well, I saw those Samurai swords but no place filled up with little grey miniatures . . .
Sad, that you have to leave that . . .
Therefore: a drink is useful.

Too much lawn for me. I'd need to hire a flock of sheep.
Offline
Right Master Barliman, to much lawn and not enough sheep!
Why leave here? I"m finished renovating and need a new challenge!Germany because my daughter must learn German and has no more excuses!
Now I'm looking for a cheap reno in Germany so I can start all over again....
Master Turambar all the minis are packed and still fill a whole cabinet in the man cave. Out of sight, but not out of mind!
A drink is always useful after all the sweat I put in this house!
Cheers to all of you!

I will report that to my girls, they are learning German for 10 years and are still not fluent ...
And personally I read and write Chinese mandarin but never succeed with German

I'me not even fluent in Westron.....

You are right Master Thingol, learning German can be very useful especially if your parents are German and the rest of your family either is German or speaks German! Very useful indeed!
Master Mornedhel I would recommend a different teacher or a extended holyday in Germany for the girls to settle with the German language if the interest is present.... after all German is not that difficult. There is a rule for everything. Not like English! No rules at all!
