Master Barliman, if you prepare a "frozen scrumpy", is there a slice of cocumber inside?

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Dear Theobald, you have no real reason to complain. South of the Great East Road, last week reached 41.5 º. And I guess in the Far Harad temperature will be even higher .....? 30º you say?. That's the temperature in here when you go to sleep at night .......... hmm

huoommm ... you must be kidding, Master Erchamion ... huom ... at least no Ent can sleep with more than 30°C in the air around him ... rhû0m ... you must have been mixing up Ents with those olive-trees ... huom ... they can indeed, as far as I know ... as for me I better like the shades in forests with a slight breeze ... huom ... and some water ... hom

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Si it's my turn to offer drinks, a good fresh rosé wine from Dorwinion if you don't mind.
I received marvelous gifts as missing Mithrils to complete my collection ... but also for me far more than "just" miniatures.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

I know that I'm having to drink twice as much as usual just to keep sweating! Not that I mind (the drinking - not the sweating). A cool beer in the shade and breeze of the yard is just what's needed.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Evil, evil heat.

We've had a "cool" summer here in...Quebec like place. What this means is we haven't had any long periods of high heat. What we had have are several three-four day heatwaves, when the wrath of god heat revs up, along with its vile handmaiden, humidity.  It hasn't even gotten as hot as it could be, but still.

The other day I was writing my paper and realising...I was sort of feeling faint. Just the constant breathing of this hot, horrible, overwhelming air and my vision was blurring.

Bah, I am not made for warm weather.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

So, that's a pint of Pimms for you then, Master Tree? Very exotic. Do you want a small green umbrella in it?

And what would your cat like?

Strange indeed, but fascinating and endearing. As I said, I'm still missing our own little friend, but he had a good innings. I don't think we shall get another. I get too emotionally involved with them.

Pimms coming up - no umbrella.

I'll drink to that, we still miss our first Bull Mastiff who passed over the Western Seas far too early neutral. Cats, dogs whatever, still valued friends.
