Re: The Taproom

A round for everyone!  My husband just bought me a bunch of Mithrils.  Now hopefully they come soon enough and I paint fast enough that some knights will be finished by the end of January.  smile

An extra bowl for Theo for being a good sport about being decorated.  big_smile

Re: The Taproom

good morning,

hmmmm, o.k. I just managed to get some of those knights in my grasp. The paint job is 'ard, because, what are the colours looking right in my own imagination of Middle Earth?? Takes me away from that lovely place in here, even if I like trees more without decoration. big_smile

The Hillman/Arnorian knight is absolutely fantastic, like all the other new stuff, I like also the Witch king, which I did  not think I would like him, but the figure is awesome, fantastic, great..., very 3-dimensional. And Gandalf M500 absolutely the best Mithrandir/Ohtar ever. Also have a look at the dread undead horseman. Fantastic!!!

Barliman, I need a drink!

And let the others also have one!

P.S.: It is very good not to have any orcish writings at the walls, thanks Gildor!

Re: The Taproom

My Dead horseman and Theodred have just arrived, and they are both excellent. But my Knights STILL haven't arrived - I guess I shall have to learn a little more patience from our friendly tree (look at him in the corner there, still as a stone, despite the festive lights singeing his twigs). After all, even if they were here I still wouldn't have the time to paint them at the moment.

seems that Mary-Ann is very busy at the moment. I just cannot receive any reactions from her to my mails, other than nice pakets smile.

Re: The Taproom

When did the order? I have an outstanding since November 19. I have sent emails to Mary-Ann and Michael but I do not care for them. The truth is that I am a little worried-impatient. The order was quite large .....hmm

Re: The Taproom

My order for Theodred and the Dead dude was likewise placed on 19 November, and it arrived yesterday, so don't give up hope yet! The Dol Amroth chaps are another
matter entirely, and the story behind the delays in their arrival is too long a saga to repeat here.

I'm sure Nob could knock something together - he's very well-travelled (by which I mean I kick him out the door quite often).

Re: The Taproom

My DA Knights order, along with the witch-king and Theodred was paid around Nov 23rd and arrived Dec 8th. So it seems that 2 to 3 weeks is "normal" now. Although Those special Dwarves arrive within 5 days of my payment. So rest assured, your mithrils will arrive.

Rhuoommhommm ..... ahem ... may I ? ... hom ...  well, as there's nothing much around here I may, methinks ... huoommm ... so today I received the last four realeases from Mithril for this year ... hom ... brilliant they are indeed ... I just want to pass on that I witnessed that the grey undercoat has been improved very much since the release of the Swan Knights ... rhuoommm ... I couldn't keep from complaining about that at the Company when I received those knights ... huoomm ... Master O'Brian promised me to pass it on and told me that they were aware of that fact and about to consider changes .... rhuoommhom ... so now the coating is much more better .... hom .... and as for the horse of the Arnor knight I think this time you can cut away that piece between the left front leg of the horse and the base .... huoomm ...
Huooommmmrhuhom .... sorry ... of, course I'll stand still furtheron and won't move .... huoomm

Why did they all leave me here standing after having played some joke on me ... rhuoommm ... I don't mind, but I'm afraid that they're all off to play those jokes on other trees, too, in and outside Bree .... rhuooommm ...hom ...
well, I do remember that "stand still" and "hold on" ......... gruooommmm ....

Re: The Taproom

Quite right, Master Tree - who ever heard of a talking Christmas Tree? Ridiculous idea.

Just to add salt in the wound of those who don't like not knowing what The Man has told me, I now of yet another M series that's being worked on. Wow, if all these figures come out in 2009 that's going to be a record year! I shall keep my fingers crossed that they do - and you can too, Master Tree, after all you've got more fingers than I have.

I just hope the £ improves against the Euro neutral , and soon.

Re: The Taproom

I know what you mean about the exchange rate, Master Dave. Paying for three mounted Fellowship figures just about tapped me out! The cost was more horrible than Nob.

And the answer to your query, Master Marshal, is that The Man has specifically mentioned three new ranges to me in the past few weeks.

Are these including the Easterlings or are they on their own?

Re: The Taproom

Well we've known about the Easterlings for years (literally...), so they hardly count as 'the past few weeks' - in which case the answer should be pretty clear, I think.

I feel your pain. Now you know how it feels like for me, mostly big_smile

However, I need a new game board. The old one has mold on it. I have been on-and-off tempted by GW's realm of battle game board. I can make one. But I am tempted by the fact that the thing looks to be quite transportable - and I am moving sometime in the next few months. (I was meant to move before, but it will happen eventually). If I make something from plywood and styrofoam and plaster, I won't be able to guarantee the same.

Kinda half thinking of ordering one of the boards from Maelstrom games, having it shipped to my brother in London and getting him to send it to me in Canada - still save me about 40 euro in total.  But its a lot of money either way.

Re: The Taproom

Gentlemen,

in a day or two the Pony and all its appending services will be closed for a short maintenance....
You can find all the details already posted on the Flowing Waters of Ekkaia section.

Thanks for your understanding...

Master Butterbur, could you be so kind as to begin closing the casks , ask for Nob and Bob to tend to everything so that everything is ready for closing... and an reopening in time for Christmas smile

Re: The Taproom

That's a relief - I make my best turnover during the Yule overdrinking season. I'll get Nob to kick everyone out in good time for the decorators, but can we leave the Tree up? It would be a sore trial to have to decorate him all over again.
