Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Well, my suggestion of this Easterling archer is still a bit behind . . .
Let´s corrupt:
a round of Barli´s finest scrumpy, a dinner of three parts including a perfect done roast goose, cigars after dinner and . . .
for all who vote for that archer! cool

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Can anyone here give me a link to a site where the old Heritage Custom Cast LOTR range of figures are listed and illustrated? Many thanks, gentlemen.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

I like him. I suspect the Man serves two masters, rendering MERP figures. He draws inspiration from the McBride and Danforth images, but he also goes for continuity with older Mithrils. So this figure definitely looks a bit like the MERP covers, but also the Mithril Second Age Numenoreans.

It's a beautiful figure. I don't mind bits of plate with the mail - that sort of agrees with the likely depiction of the Knights of Dol Amroth.

Hardcore "gothic" plate may vaguely work for the Second Age, but it really introduces a whole different "look" to the range.

You must not think I'm so rich. Just that due to high prices (in my opinion) of the figures, I can only buy when discounted appear. That is when I try to update my collection ....
Ah! too many hobbies ........ roll

Unfortunately the Varig Archer didn´t make it . . . I don´t have to invite the crowd anymore . . .
Therefore I can offer you a drink as well, Master Barli.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Nor did Elfhelm. Where were the friends who offered their support the last time that he didn't win? Not a single vote for him, other than my own. That's his most disappointing attempt yet. I begin to think that I may be flogging a dead horse - literally.

Of course I have money left to pay you a beer ..... smile
Also, let me tell you, not all figures come from Ireland are for me. Some will go next to ´Bethlehem` (or under the Christmas tree) of some nephews. It's time to grow a taste for the figures in subsequent generations. Who knows? The same is the only way to get more votes in the polls ........
By the way, speaking of Christmas tree, it is high time to start decorating, right? rolllol

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Please Master barli, one tank of your stronger ale!

I was on travel this weekend and I have missed the sale sad

Well, bad for Mithril too because I'm getting nothing from them (until the next sale, hopefully).

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Thank you Master Milo, but problem is I didn't notice the sale until it was gone.

I'll get closer to the fire and have some red wine, from Dorwinion if possible...
