Re: THE TAPROOM 3

A bit late for breakfast now, though I suppose you could have tomorrow's.

I've just spent an annoying couple of hours converting some half-orcs into three bomb crews, since I doubt that Mithril will ever get round to producing any (thereby hangs a tale). I say annoying, because everything kept ending up gluing itself to everything other than what it was supposed to be glued to. As usual.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Huoommm ... so far I did not know that you also are one of those miniature-butchers, Master Barliman ... rhuom ... as for waiting for a half-orc bomb-crew provided by Mithril your decision obviously was right ... huom ... concerning that I feel very much fine with the "fire wagon" I once received from Jim ... huooûoommm

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

huoommm ... Master Barliman, so your memory really seems to be not one of the best in Bree ... huom ... ah, thanks for refilling my bowl that willingly ... rhûom ... so about 4 or 5 years ago I provided some pictures here in that Mathom house of Micheal Delving in a thread called "The fire of Orthanc", where you even gave me some help about how to fix 4 oxen instead of 2 ... huom ... it was agift I received from Master Jim Corless ... huôm ... I think Jim arranged a very nice piece mainly based on Mithril figures, except all the parts of the wagon .... huom ... he also liked to butcher those  Mithril-figures sometimes ... huom

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

You expect me to remember four or five YEARS into the past, Master Tree? These days I can barely remember what day of the week it is. Alas, I only vaguely recall the matter of which you speak. What a shame there's not some sort of search facility here in the Pony....well, there's Nob I suppose, but he can rarely find his own backside unless I kick it first.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

How dare you describe my tavern as "desolate". If you want to see somewhere "desolate" you should try the "Forsaken Inn" east of here. The Pony isn't "desolate" - it's exclusive.

Could you serve me some breakfast please? some toasts, honey and scrambled eggs please, would like to invite sevlag and ddaines for their great entries to the Tabletop competition too. And of course, I would leave you some money in advance for inviting also my dear hobbit Milo, just in case he appears around when the smell of good food reaches his refined nose.

Life does get crowded sometimes, for all of us, so welcome back.

Now, while you're here I have this unsettled tab I'd like to bring to your attention....

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

huoomm ... well, Master Jdbrown55 ... huomm ... good to find you around here again ... hûom ... so, let's raise a glass, or bowl ... huom ... I always suspected that our dear barkeep by now has managed to install tabs in the Pony that update themselves ... no matter if you're present, they just find out the average of your last bills and add this accordingly to the time you're not present ... rhuôm ... er, IT that's called as far as I know ... intelligent tabs that is ... huom

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Hi everyone. Time for breakfast isn't it?

Intellignent tabs? I always thought that there was some kind of magic in it...
Could it be this grey old wizard who did that for having free access here in return? Some rumours say he has been seen here quite often.

Who knows...maybe the man in the dark ? wink

Intelligent tabs? Love the idea! I shall investigate the possibilities immediately.

You'll have to get your own breakfasts, I'm afraid - I'm just off to the doctor for some blood tests (they like to check occasionally whether I'm still alive. I often need assurance of the same thing...)

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Hello everybody, hope you're doing well ! Alas , your wandering elf had an accident and is at home for the time being (ankle sprain) but anyway some little ice will do !

I'd like to gather your attention on the suggestions for April. It is a mounted month, and as always I have suggested the mounted Elessar as leader of the Free People armies at the black gate. Not wanting to be egoist, but I really think this one needs to be sculpted at a time or another, we lack great mounted captains in "grand pose", I suggested him on a rearing horse, like M260, I hope people will support my idea

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Hope you will be recovering fast and painlessly Gildor.

On the mounted miniature, that is a great suggestion and I will probably vote for it, unless I see another one that I like most. wink

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

well it's difficult for me to ask for so many votes considering I forgot to vote last time when I said I would support Barliman's Elfhem.... (just forgot to cast my vote in time shame on me :'( )  , to make amend I will vote for Elfhelm instead of my own suggestion in the first round of vote.. We'll then see what happens in the second round

I really think both suggestion are a must have... too bad we can only suggest a mounted figurine once a year........ we used to be able to do so twice or thrice a year, and a vignette once a year.....

Well, it would even be better if Mithril was releasing anything at all.... I've seen no new figurines since december.... while I know (and have seen prototypes works by Chris, back in october) there are many who are sculpted already, but maybe not casted yet....

Maybe they are doing some changes in the factory?   3D printing? that would be worth the wait, if it means less expensive too...
but I'm an utopist....
