I was wondering when someone would ask for a free drink. Ah well, it's a special day, so why not?
Yes, even in Bree we have a saying that "everything comes to he who waits", and there may be some truth in it. Personally I prefer to think of it not so much as patience but as "bloody-mindedness". Mrs B. says I have an abundance of it.

I hope you have more "bloody-mindedness" left to wait another two years before you actually have your miniature Master Barliman.

Alas, Master Regalrick, based on current production times this is potentilly all too true. But I shall try to remain positive for now.

Huoomm ... but what are those two years compared with at least 5 years of suggesting before ... huom ... so then , seven years would be covered ... alas ... grûom ... if you just consider an approximate lifetime of a dwarf that is not very much ... huom ...
yes, to remain positive is the correct way of thinking ... huoommrhûom ... that means we'll enjoy at least 5 more springs until the figure sees its light (in case the mould doesn't break) ... rhuooomm ...

Hi master Barliman,
Congrats for winning suggestion. I hope it will be released within 1 year....
May I ask for 2nd breakfast?

You may certainly ask for it. If you're very good you may even get it!

well I'd be optimistic here... so far, except for Forlong, there is a "delay" of 8 months between suggestions and releases (if I remember well), and Michael said that in May they will begin selling again after this waterloo thingy...
so far I think 4 or 5 figurines are ready, among which 3 should even be ready for final casting (if not done yet)...
and now that's the upsetting part... financially, since we never know in advance how much mithril will charge for a given release (remember that sometimes Chris takes the liberty to create a vignette out of a suggestion that was simply a "dual" month... and it is more expensive, but better quality), well since we never know that, and since we never know how many months of "nothingness" there will be as opposed to months with 2....3....4 releases at the same time, it is a complete mess/anarchy problem to manage the proper budget
nothing to spend in 4 months, and suddenly, more than 100€ of figurines in a row (in the case you are in autoshipment), that's a real pain to deal with...
well I need another drink I think

That is one of the various reasons I ever subscribed to autoshipment.

well there can, sometimes be an advantage if they are good with logistic and make a single shipping with all the figs but strangely they manage to make 3 different shippings for figurines which were releases the same month............ (if we forget to request "waiting for single shipment"....)
Offline
huoommm ... I feel fine with the idea of two new releases per month as it sometimes was done in the past to cope with the delay ... huom ... in case we do see any new releases this summer ... grrûom ... well, the discount you get for autoshipment at least covers the shipping costs for a regular figure ... huoomm ... though I think by now that it might be better to wait for a larger official discount the companies allows once or twice in a year ... hom ... but we had this discussion before, I think ...

Two releases a month doesn't bother me because I rarely buy them straight away - I (have to!) wait until I have enough money before I order figures (there's usually a sale at some point every few months). If you're signed up for autoshipment I can appreciate that it might be more of an issue.

Hello Gentlemen. Bari, can I have an ale please? Well. I don't use auto-shipment either, although it might save me money in the long run. I like to pick when I get a shipment. If I buy four or five at once I get a deal on shipping--even more if I catch a sale.

Rhuoommm ... what's going on? ... rhûom ... er, rhetorical that was, alas ... huom ... so the Pony is quite in line with Mithril methinks ... hmm ... where's dear Master Thingol? ... alas, Master Hsf62 left quite a while ago ... hoom ... as some others did before ... ggromhuom ... are they all on an early summer holiday? ... except the sleepy barkeep, the Man in the Dark and an old tree ... huomm ... even Master Milo does not ask for third breakfasts that often any more ... huom ...
I lately heard news from some forests that Nob has been seen with a stick and a bundle he carried across one of his shoulders heading southwards ... huoommm ... I just wonder ... huom

That's probably because he rarely got them, being reluctant to part with any coiny things in exchange....
But there it is. As Mithril become seemingly more apathetic about our hobby, it is unsurprising that we do too.

Each Time I have put coins on the table, these were taken, no matter a breakfast (or an ale) is delivered or not.
In fact, I do not care as it is sharing good time with good fellows that enjoys me.
By the way, may I ask for a Triple ale today ? kschink...
Master Teobald, I can explain a bit my not often presence here: This year 2015 in France, 1th may, 8th may, 14th may, 25th may are non working days t. Therefore, many of froggy fellows (like me) take benefit from these non working days and are half-time on holidays or long week-ends.
As soon as I have to come back work (like this afternoon), you will see me around, either laughing, eating nor drinking. It could even happen that I sing, standing on the table, if you can bow to see me.

well Milo said it all
the month of may around here is quite anarchic and it is almost a month of holiday in itself . But I am also still around, and as far as I know, Nob is not as far away as it seems

I want no standing or dancing on my tables — I don't want a repeat of what happened last time someone did that!

What about drinking then ? I do not see anymore the coin I have put on the table, still no pint !

Ah, sorry, I thought that was a generous donation to my non-existant pension fund.....
Offline
huoom ... I've never seen a donation box at the bar ... huommm ... anyway ... so it seems that it's only Master Barliman and me working here ... while the rest of the regulars are on part time holidays each week ... huom ... lazy lads ... nevertheless it's always fun when someone calls in and offers a free drink .... huôoom ...

Hi Master Barliman,
I came earlier for second breakfast. I will give you coiny things once my hunger is over.
Offline
Well, I think I will serve myself 3rd breafast for today and ask another for 2nd...
Is there anybody out there ?
Offline
Yea, I'm out here all right - cutting the grass. Help yourself to food - you know where everything is by now.
Offline
OK, thanks and please come back for supper once all grass is nicely cut.

Good afternoon!
Seems that Barli has made an excellent work cutting the grass outside, a little more height and I think our hobbits did not find the entrance to the pony.
May I have some bread and sausages please? I am bringing spare coiny things so if some fellow wants to join it will be on my side, perhaps Tolwen wants to celebrate his new aquired position at the Wandering Company...
