You have spare coiny things? Blimey, I have hardly any! But i'll happily exchange some of yours for bread, sausages and scrumpy.

Good afternoon!
I am bringing spare coiny things so if some fellow wants to join it will be on my side, perhaps Tolwen wants to celebrate his new aquired position at the Wandering Company...
As I just have joined it is a good idea to commemorate this by a nice and cheery evening at the Pony. Now I might have coiny things to spare, getting more detached from the M company's coiny-loosening grasp
Cheers

huoomm ... well, Master Tolwen, so far this year there has not been any "coiny-loosening grasp" at all, I think ... rhuom ... 5 months without any figure being released ... does anyone know of any other company that can afford such a relaxed way of production? ... hoooooommmm ... relax ... hoooooommm ...

You are right. The "loosening grasp" was actually more about a feeling of being compelled to participate in something that you do not really feel to belong to any longer. Indeed the monetary aspect is less with the long intervals between availability of minis. But still there was some subconscious feeling of obligation to buy something since you are in this Fellowship. That has gone, is a good feeling and worth a round on me!
Cheers

huûomm ... first, thanks for a free drink, Master Tolwen ... hooom ... second is to tell that I can very well understand your decision and feelings ... huom, I think I also pointed that out elsewhere ... rhuom ... alas, "long intervals between availability of minis" you say? ... huooomm ... you put it nicely, Master Tolwen ... hmm ... nice words you found for that inability of production and keeping up with some poor backlog that by now cover 13 months ... rhûom ...
Just consider that the M-range was once closed, as the LT,LR and LO ranges were ... huoomm ... so why not close the MS range too? .... would make sense and be consequent, wouldn't it. - hm?rhûoom?

The coiny things for a round are well spent indeed
And you are right - closing the MS would only be consequent. In my very personal opinion the range is like a comatose patient in intensive care unit, artificially kept alive only by machines
Perhaps it might be better to die with grace and in dignity rather than vegetate like this.
But let's not talk about these sad things here in the Taproom - it's time for scrumpy and living entertainment. I guess I'll spend a few of the coiny things to motivate the bard
Here we are now - entertain us - an extra scrumpy for anyone who recognises this without asking Google & Co
Cheers

Scrumpy is certainly what you need.

Hello Master Ent, Master Barkeeper, and all of the other Masters and Travelers. I also am frustrated by the lack of production by Mithril. I do believe that all MS figures will be produced--but we can't be certain until they are for sale. I expect/hope that we will see a rush of MS figures put out by Mithril in the second half of the year. Hopefully we get to 7 or 8 months backlog, assuming we add monthly suggestions. That seems to be a normal timeframe for making the prototypes, getting approval, and tooling for production.
Now for the question of style--well, that is a matter of choice. We buy the figure or we don't. I think it is rather amazing that after nearly 30 years and around 700 (I believe) figures, dioramas, vignettes, boxed sets, etc. that this company is still willing to let us hard core enthusiasts suggest a figure every month with a reasonable expectation that it will be made (we might be dead by then, but that's besides the point!) and knowing full well it might only sell 50 or 100 of them.
The problem isn't that Chris doesn't sculpt things in a style that everyone likes. It is that the company doesn't have 10,000 customers that only buy what they like.
As long as there are suggestions people are willing to buy, and Mithril/Chris are willing to produce, let's keep going. The end will come when it comes.
Barli, I'll have an ale and please send Nob to fetch my pipe weed pouch, Thanks, and here's a silver.

Oh, and I was completely wrong about the song quote above, I actually thought it was someone like Nikki Minaj or Iggy Azalea doing a Pepsi commercial or something. Then I did Google it, and say to myself: "Duh!"

I'll drink to that. Visiting Bree so often has taught you plain Hobbit common sense!

I dare to say as long as Mithril is Lars'hobby ... PA is just losing money with MIthril, and you do not be to be accountant to compute some figures ... But I already talk about that in another place
Let's drink something hot and strong as the ice again covered my cart this morning :-/

Hi everyone,
It sounds a bit more crowdy than previous days. Thanks to Master Tolwen for drinks.
On my side, no matter if I become blind due to grass height nor drinking scrumpy, I will keep visiting this place until my last wisper. Cheers !

Hello? Hellooo?? Oh well, now that I am awake I think I'll help myself to an ale, and then go back to my dark corner. A copper this time, Barli.
Oh, Hey Nob; you finally brought my pipe weed pouch!
Well, I guess it is fitting that we have a Tobold! Perhaps he'll stop by the Pony.

No need to "Hellooo" me, Master Ranger - I'm still here. I was just dozing in the pleasantly warm morning sun out in the yard. The light reflects off the walls at this time of day and I can listen to the birds in the shrubs in peace and quiet - until I'm loudly "Hellooo'd", that is. Anyway, I suppose it's time to come in and get my own breakfast now. Then I'll see to anyone that's here. If there is anyone here.

Breakfast time you said ? I'm in ! Just look down, I'm here...

Sorry, I didn't see you down there. You'll have to wear taller shoes.

Ah, yes, so you aren't.

As well as everything going quiet here, the same seems to have happened with the Fellowship. Master Gildor's comments regarding how matters should proceed have not received any response so far as I can see, and now the suggestions thread seems itself to have disappeared off the Mithril Forum site. Anyone know wehat's happening?
