Blame me Nob,
I managed to have twisted knee & Thumb at the same time while trying to catch you for asking more sausages...
Now I cannot move from here.

Hello Nob. I at least can not complain, as you did bring me a few ales when asked. And a bit of pipeweed.
Now then, Nob when would we expect Mr. Butterbur?
Offline
well I must admit he left without a lot of instructions... I'm not sure. and I'm afraid we are slowly but surely running low on scrumpy

Well, his return could take a while . . . As far as I am informed he is about visiting his most-liked-"SCOTTISH" distillery!
As there is a important anniversary to be celebrated!!!!!
Sitting in the sun, watching the seabirds and having a nice dram!

Huooommm ... I'm back again after a short absence caused by the need for relaxing at some coast somewhere ... rhuoomm ... Nob, you can tell our barkeep that I immediately cleaned those high windows, as he asked for that ... rhuom ... though it was a hard job, especially cleaning those above the dark corner .... gruuoommm ... they seemed to have been thoroughly smeared with a sticky layer of dark yellowish colour ... rhuom ... I don't know where that came from, couldn't have been the hearth .... hoooômmm ... anyway, so still there are some of these old lads around here ... that's good ... huom ... as they are few that's just enough to invite all of you for free drinks today ... huom ... Nob, please tell Master Barliman that I honestly will pay the bill as soon as he has returned ... rhuômm ... to remind him I just scratched some marks on a bar tab I found ... hoommtidomm ...
Offline
huoommm .... sorry I simply fogot to mention the reason for those free drinks .... huom ... so you just look left ...
<------ at the number of posts ... huOm? ... cheers me friends ...

"5000 entish posts" is more than respectfull, it's a hobbit life !
Happy to read you're back master Ent. And thanks for the drink.
Offline
ahh 5000 ... that's the number of coins you owe master Butterbur I think master Ent.. I'll be happy to retrieve them for him, if you pleas?
I may be in a mood to serve you a little scrumpy if I find some without sawdust in the casks...

Very nice Master Tree. And thank you for not cleaning the window in the dark corner over the table where I sit. I can get sunlight outside, should I want it.
Well then, Nob. I would like to buy Master Attic Warden a breakfast and drinks . . . coffee, juice, something from the bar . . . whatever he fancies. He has made additions to his catalogue for recent MS releases.

Hi Nob,
Time for my 2nd breakfast.
Wahou, it's already settled! This place is getting better every week.
Thanks a lot for all master in the dark.
It's good to see you little more now that windows are clean.

huoommm ... where are Masters Milo and Imisel? ... rhuom ... they intended to come in here a short time ago ... rhuoôm ... maybe they got lost somewhere in between all the threads .... huommm ...
anyway, I really need an extremely chilled drink because of the heat ... er, Nob is there anything larger than a bowl? ... huom ... then I'll have that filled to the brim with extra-chilled-clear-clean-non-sparkeling-honey-colured-slightly-watery liquid, please
Master Milo, you were right concerning the M113 ... huom ... the missing part is a stool, of course ... hm, I was mistaken because I misjudged the size of Hobbits ... rhuom ... see, when Master Samwise sits on that stool it appears to be a table ... sorry

Hi Master Ent,
I'm glad you see me down there before putting your feet on my head.
Shall your beautifull big wooden parts being called feet by the way ?
I wil drink fresh water with you if you do not mind sitting near my stool.

huuoommm ... ah, Master Milo, nice to have you around again ... rhuom .... don't worry in all my Ent-life I so far never trodded onto a Hobbit with my roots ... rhuuôOOOm ... so fresh water that is we all need indeed ... huom ... 36°C for many days is a bit slightly too warm for me .... let's have another big and large salad-bowl filled with that fine liquid ... huom ... I hope you don't mind me standing next to your stool, Master Milo, as it's always a bit complicated for a tree to sit down ... hOOOm ...

Roots, that's the proper way for saying entish feet. thanks for the tip.
36° has been indeed the minimum t° here for past 8 days (38 this afternoon).
Cheers !

Good afternoon to all! I am asking for an extra cold scrumpy served on a chilled jar please, we are melting down here at my city... we are a bit lucky though, thanks to some ent friends we have lots of trees on our city to protect us from the sun and the heat... although they are dropping leaves at a high rate almost like if it was autumn!
If there is someone else even in that dark corner that I cannot disguise I will leave enough coins for a scrumpy or two more, just in case someone else appears...

Well, I'm back at last, and no, I didn't drink any of that awful Scottish stuff that they try to pretend is whiskey. (I know the Tree likes it, but I don't. Well, not often.) I did drink a few draughts of their beer, however, which is very passable indeed.
Thanks to Nob for trying to cope with the customers.
Now, I must go and find my apron and get back to work. (Er, eventually. Still a bit weary at the moment after three days' travelling.)

huoommm ... today I received the three new mini-miniatures ... hom ... one might regard that as a sign of hope after that slight pause the company recently took ... huuom ...

Alas, I couldn't afford to buy them right now (having just spent too much while on holiday), so will hve to await one of Mithril's bargain sales! From the pictures, they all look rather good.

...Except Forlomg still isn't anywhere near fat enough. Presumably Mrs Forlong has put him on a strict salad diet.
Offline
huoomm ... indeed, Master Barliman, good old Forlong still isn't fat at all ... huom ... I know you complained about that before after the release of that mounted Forlong-figure ... rhûom ... and right you are ... hom ... what I do like is that he wields an axe with an appropriate shaft though he doesn't seem to grasp it well... huom ... but what confused me was that tiny-square leaflet saying that old Forlong was cut down by a group of "Easterlings" in the battle of the Pelennor Fields ... rhôm ... does anyone around here can tell me that it were Easterlings who attacked the warriors from Lossanach? ... huom ... I don't have the time at the moment to re-read that chapter again ... huomm ... better have a last drink in the Pony now ... huom ... May I, Master Barliman, please .... ? ... ahem, just for having cleaned them high windows .... ?
