and me too I admit, but I had the excuse to make him visit two places to take lots of pics, both Montpellier and Marseille smile

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I am guilty of that too. I think he spent almost a year (long time ago) in my city, and I was just able to put a single pic, a couple of postcards and some written text. which ashames me a bit. xP

ONE pic, Master Maenas?????!!!!!
Well- I would say that is pretty less, concerning everything your wonderful city has to offer . . .

Re: The Travelling Elrond

well there is no need to include postcards or real pics inside the "package" if you can't.. we are in a numeric era. but it would be cool to have at least "digital" pics (jpg etc)to post in the gallery dedicated to this Elrond... there are far less than the places he has actually visited but that's all the pics I have...

If you have others that are not posted, please send them to me with comments (what place, with which member, etc...)

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Ok, I remember passing up on Elrond coming to me because I was going on vacation and didn't want to slow down the transfers. Now people keep Elrond a year?!

Please . .  Let's rearrange the order of Elrond's visitation schedule so that the oldest of us go to the front of the line!!

Otherwise I will probably be dead before I ever see him. lol

Re: The Travelling Elrond

that would be a wise idea, and also another, from the nearest to the nearest for postal costs maybe... though when it comes to Europe, the prices for all european countries is the same for a given country if I am not mistaken, so it should not change a lot)

but well, if Elrond goes to the USA for example that would be fair to make him visit ALL folks from USA before coming back to EU, no?

First of all that would be cool if Elrond could take his leave off Harald so the travel carries on...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Elrond is still in the Black Forest in Germany after he arrived there from Berlin about a year ago where he got stuck somehow. In those days days I tried to make him travel further. Next host listed is Master Turambar in Germany.

Indeed we should agree about a faster movement from host to host. (er, I still feel a bit guilty saying that - but some others seem to feel the same)

You're right saying the last existing list has to be re-arranged again. E.g. our Master Caster cannot be contacted any more though I tried over and over again. Then Master Gildor is right to mention to think about costs for p&p as the parcel had grown a bit when I received it once.

I think some things have to be hurried up just a little bit (yes, I know my passion for patience is well-known) so that Master Twrich will be able to host Elrond once in his lifetime ... er, Master Twrich's lifetime that is.

So, what to do now?

Re: The Travelling Elrond

first of all, if someone can contact Harald Wolf and make him send Elrond to the next person in line, which is Turambar, who resides in Germany (which is perfect), then maybe we could switch to Twrich and make a "round" in the american continent if need be? which leads me to think :

first : contact Harald, make him send Elrond to Turambar, and pics to me
then / at the same time : review and study the list and re arrange it
then make it so Twrich gets it fast enough, and adapt american members around twrich in the list

As for myself I have no way to contact or "convince" Harald sad  (too bad he is not an active member of MMP.... sad , his member name is "Halbarad II" I think but he does not reply to the email provided)

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Alright, first suggestion can be easily coped with, I think.

To re-arrange the list might be a bit more complicated, as all the old lists provided in this thread, are not up to date any more.
E.g. as for Australia we might have to exclude Hsf69 and axe99 as contacts are no more available, though I do regret this very much.
Then there's no need to haste sending Elrond to Master Twrich asap, as I'm sure he'll be living longer than Elrond arrives in Minneapolis. - I was just jesting, as  he was before.

Anyway, I just tried to remind of a certain "Travelling Elrond" being around somewhere still, when I posted these thoughts some days ago. As there seems to be some interest in Elrond's travels being continued I think he should not be left "stranded" somewhere. That's all there is.

Then, I think it might be quite interesting to have a complete list of all his stays.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Have a look at post #444 and #449.
Already contacted Master HWolf on this facebook thing. Without no answer yet. Who has imagine something else . . .
As everybody here is patient aready, I try to be it also . . .

Concerning the change of travel-list. As far as I know the next host after myself will be Master Thingol. And I suggeest to let him there - in line after me.

Are there any American members- instead of Master twrich- who are active????? I can not remember . . .

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Alright, I understood well, I think. I just took over to contact Harald per email as a first attempt.
Er, by the way, Master Turambar, what is this "Facebook-thing" you mentioned good for, as it doesn't seem to work ?
Us trees don't have such ... er .. things.

Just be patient  for a while ... I'll do what I can, as I suggested.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Right, Dave it is. I wonder if he's still intersted in Mithril-matters. Then he'd be the only Australian left in this community though not taking part here on MMP. - Thank you David for providing help.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Ahem- sorry- maybe I have missed something.
I DO know which Harald Wolf it is, because I posted on his FB-pinwall . . .
Because he is- what FB calls it- a "friend" . . .
You are on that FB too, Master Gildor? Ah ha . . . interesting . . .

As far as I am concerned I recieve a mail for every poops made on FB . . .  so I am sure HWolf do so also . . .

But as Master Theobald pointed out: he took over. However in which way. Maybe he has got more success . . .

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Not hard at all, Master Gildor. - I contacted Harald last night and received an answer this noon. So Elrond is still very well but just has to wait a little bit for a visit to the Heidelberg castle. Then he and his belongings will soon be sent to Master Turambar for his next stay.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, as for that other matter I just took some time to recall the planned stays of Elrond's Travel after he left my place. That is:

Protozeus (Berlin)
Harald Halbarad II (Black Forest)     X <--- [that's where he is now]
Turambar (Germany)
Thingol (Croatia)

...then Australia ...

HSF62 (Holger does not live in Australia any more)    <---- problem
Axe99 (Australia)                                                    <---- does anyone still have contacts with Dave Long?

... then USA and Canada:

Jdbrown55  (Texas)
Twrich (Minneapolis)
Gavin (Canada)

... back to Europe:

Milo (France)
Imisel (Spain)

This is where the latest list ends.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I have received an answer also. But Master Theobald has already announced the content.
Therefor that two cooks already are a problem for the pie I will leave this topic and wait until I will receive the parcel or not.

At last. I suggets to keep an eye on who is active and who is not.

I'm glad there has been a conversation about Traveling Elrond. I don't care if he comes to me next or after ten more MMP members. I just wish things moved along faster.

Dave Long (Axe99) sends his regards, he is still interested in Mithril, but health issues prevent participation in collecting and painting. Dave did however request to be taken off of the Travelling Elrond list.
