A uialacu (S. Twilight Bow), a nine-elf company of wood elf sentinels watches the Mirkwood Eaves while the enemy gathers strength
Rumours have come of wolves and goblins assailing the Beornings, and now the captain, Ranion (or "Rongol" to his friends) of the eastern marches must decide whether he should venture forth from the greenwoods to their aid.
His advisor and kinsman Nathron counsels stealth, but his warriors are young yet and their hate of the orcs burns brightly.
The Tauranca listen intently, for the trees hear all.
But they are but few, a tiny band of warriors in a vast and often hostile forest
With very, very special tanks to Milo, Holger and indeed Master Barliman for the inspiration.

And yes, the Elladan figure is Rongol (name from the old Rescue in Mirkwood gamebook) and the Legolas figure is a random elf. The slightly converted Sindarin Mage is Nathron.

Thanks all.
The outcome wasn't bad, but still not as good as I'd hoped. My next big nerd purchase will be a new set of brushes, and hopefully they will help better than the set I currently have.
The female Sindarin scout figure was an utter nightmare to paint. I had to use rubbing alcohol to get to goop off her face.
As for the Beornings, I need to make some more preparations and then paint them all at once. Meanwhile I am halfway through painting a company of plastic GW Knights of Dol Amroth that have been sitting in a box since last summer. The Beornings will follow right after. Well, right after a Dungeons and Dragons gnoll or two.
