Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Master Barliman

I caught Nobb trading under the counter mayonnaise. He cannot explain where he got the eggs, for sure Farmer Maggot is still wondering why his hen’s nests are empty.

Now why he call it “Hobbit, food for freedom”?
Is Nobb looking for freedom or a Hobbit coup is in preparation in Bree to be rid of big people?
Or eating means freedom for our hobbits?

The latest is the more plausible … I hope

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Hobbits are certainly the only folk silly enough to think that they could eat their way to freedom! Good luck to them.

Huoomm ... congratulations, Master Thingol, for your more than 3000 entries, which is quite a lot ... rhuom
... the rogue here certainly is our dear barkeep when he just offered you a free glass of water from the tap ... huooom ... sometimes it seems to me that he's a bit mean (no matter how you translate this word) ... rhûom ...

hm, I guess your second interpretation is correct, Master Mornedhel, to Hobbits eating means freedom ... hooommm

Congrats Master Thingol.
About food, I am in great pain today. I went on got disgestion crisis last week. Something between pians for boxing & giving birth...
Doctor said I will need some surgery in few weeks.

Until then, I'm on a strict diet :
no alcool ==> no scrumpy,
no sodas ==> no beer nor cider
no coffee, no tea, no milk, no fat==>  no  breafasts here ! sad
more vegetables...mad

I feel sick, and sad and need a large bowl of clear water.

Now Master Milo, eating 7 breakfast a day is a bit too much even for a hobbit :-)

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

I hope you'll get better very soon master Milo, and I wish you good luck !

Maybe you can eat some oat porridge ? that's never bad for health usually... oats, hot milk, a little bit of salt and nothing more, great breakfast!

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Feel better, Milo.

I came back from Ireland feeling a little sick. Then a lot sick. then a lot sicker. I went to the doctor who consulted with another doctor and came back and said: you got mononucleosis. You probably got it in some airport, full of sweaty, crying people and no air flow. It's going to be horrible and take months to recover from. So they sent me for tests.

Which came back yesterday. No mono. No anything, apparently. So we figure it was just really-really-really bad flu. Whoo hoo. So the next few weeks will involve me biking like a lunatic to drive out whatever's left of the illness.

All of which sounds entirely trivial compared to what you're facing. Feel better!

Well Milo, on the positive side, just think of the banquet you can have once you are back to 100%. Sorry to hear of your condition and I hope all is well soon.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Thanks everyone for your good words. I will be patient and for sure the banquet once recovered will be great.wink
About oats Master Gildor, I am not allowed to drink milk...so I found south african kind of tea called roobios which I am allowed to drink. Then bread, fruits will do for next weeks.

Gavin your mononucleous-flu sounds strange indeed. It's good you feel better now.
