Re: THE TAPROOM 3

I hope Master Archer doesn't spend too much time looking skywards as he is very near to a place where an English king (supposedly) looked up at the wrong time! lol

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Happy belated birthday Master Archer and Skilled Artisan! It seems like I missed the party! Not much here now but empty mugs and dirty plates.

Oh well, Guess I'll just sit here at my table in the quiet dark corner and enjoy a pipe and an ale.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Happy belated birthday Gavin.

I can also report that Master Archer and his good lady are enjoying their time in 1066 Country - had a pleasant day with them yesterday and discovered that Master Chris is also a talent behind the stove wink.

I would loved to have helped them polish off more Pimms and Gin & tonic, but had to get back to London.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

huoomm ... I did understand about the last English King and his eye well, Master Ddaines, as I knew where Master Turambar and his Lady were heading to ... huom ... it's great to read that you managed to meet Master Turambar down there at the southern coast of that island .... rhuôm ... I'm sure a very small slice of cucumber was not forgotten to be placed to the other ingredients into a glass of Pimm's ... huomm ... good to know that some of us meet from time to time .... huoom ...

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

huooommm ... there still is nothing much on around here ... huom ... no new tiny-metal-things one could talk about being newly released ... rhuom ... I have to admit that my annoyance has been slowly but steadily increasing for quite some time ... grruôm
... this year I will definitely not remind them of a Christmas-figure to be put into consideration for 2015, as I did one year or the other ... huuOom ... they wouldn't be able to manage such a "new" challenge, I'm sure .... huom ... maybe a certain part of the company already has decided and turned to start a new business in refurbishing and decorating old houses and rooms ... huom ... who knows ...

Master Barliman, I need a good drink to calm down a bit ... huom ... no matter what liquid, but it has to be very good, please ...huooOOOmmmrgûommm ...

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Hi Masters, I will join for a bowl of water, without breakfast. wink

About new release, I posted on GF forum my thoughts to Michael. He seems to say CT is not active enough...It worries me. Any news on this side ?

About MMP, Master orc & Maenas have initiated a mithril painting league (Read the art gallery). I suggest you join us, for fun & friendship of course:D.

Hey Barli I would like a scrumpy! And if you don't mind I may come a little bit later and stick a little poster about this new Painte's league, so everyone can read it! ^^

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Fine by me. The league is a nice idea, though I doubt I shall participate. I'm not a diorama or single-figure painter, and I never (or at least, have never yet) put my painted figures up for general perusal. For one thing I'm not especially good! For another, I paint figures purely for my own enjoyment.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Oh Barli, that will be a gigantic pity! it does not matter if you feel you don't paint very good, you can improve if you desire so. Feel free to come by, comment and ask even if you don't post a mini you can participate too ^^

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Don't get me wrong - I do a lot of painting, but I'm happy with my figures as being perfectly acceptable for my own purposes. Doubtless I could improve, if I had the time. I'm sure we all could, if real life didn't constantly interfere! But the other issue is that actually I don't paint many Mithrils - of the 5,000 or so LOTR figures I've painted, only about 300 are Mithrils (mostly Isengard half-orcs, orcs, and sundry officers and "characters").

My (incomplete) Mithril collection remains largely unpainted. The majority of my painted figures come from about two dozen assorted companies. Right now, in fact, I'm not painting any Mithrils at all, but mostly old Mark Coplestone half-orcs, Harlequin Easterlings, Foundry Vikings (used as Woodmen) and unarmoured Late Romans by various manufactures that I'm using as Gondorian provincial troops.
