Thoughts go out to the people of France, and Paris especially after last night's outrage - I hope all members of our little community and their families and loved ones who live in that country are safe and unscathed.
Thoughts are with all those innocents who perished or who have suffered injuries.

Thanks David,
No bad news about my beloved ones, but I still do not know how to react...
I was born there, grew up there until 18...I know very well each place people were killed.
So far, I am shcoked. I am a "parisien" with tears.

Thanks David,
as far as I know my family is ok, though I had no news from some of them in Paris for quite some time...
I wonder what will come next I'm especially afraid of the backfire and consequences it will create to some communities in our country.
As always, people will make amalgams and I fear they will be "social martyrs" in anwer to those terrorists... People will want vengeance and blood, that's alas... human

Thanks for starting this thread, Master Dave. I've been off my feet for a couple of days or I'd have seen to it myself.
What can any of us say? There are beasts worse than Orcs living among us every day, who have no souls or hearts or religion, other than the perverted forms they have invented to justify their evil deeds. Personally I've never believed in any religion, and even less in a "god", but at times like these I earnestly want there to at least be an afterlife, where one's deeds are weighed and measured for appropriate punishment when the time comes. And I hope the punishments are severe and unremitting.
In the meantime my thoughts go out to all Frenchmen, and especially the families of those whose lives have been tragically taken away or ruined. Also to all the other foreign nationals who have suffered in these outrages - both in France and Lebanon.
A dark time.

The Lebanon atrocity has been overshadowed in the news sadly.

Ashamed that human kinds like that could exist, worried about all those suddenly broken links. All my support to affected communities, and specifically to our French fellows.

I'm sorry dear french mithril freinds... It is tragedy to see such a terible terrorism acts where ever it happens.... but I'm particularly saddened by this in France. A was lot of times in Paris and I plan to go again there on December 13. for a week.... I hope that the France after this will be even stronger but equally valuable and tolerant as it was before.
That is exactly what is your greatest asset, dear French friends.... l'égalité, la fraternité, la liberté
.... for all victims of terrorism around the world.... Rest in peace innocent people....

Very astonished and sadden also!! I fear that this type of tragedy will happen more often.
I agree with Nino that I hope this will not lead to more prejudice--then the terrorist would win.
Thank you David for starting this thread,
