Re: The Travelling Elrond

I agree with Theobald (and thus disagree with Milo, sorry)

Elrond is not a "simple" figurine travelling from place to place, the parcel is filled with history, feedbacks, manuscript letters, photos, a Gandalf companion (actually it is Elrond & Gandalf, not Elrond alone)... I hosted it for quite sometime myself and it was during my move, still I finally let go of him and passed him along... I can't accept this kidnapping and well it would be more than fair to demand Harald to pass it along...

Having a brand new figurine would be off topic, what about all the material that is in the Elrond parcel.... it is not a small one...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

In final I will send my copy of Elrond in this long traveling though endless obstacles.... this is becomes irritatingly boring. This all does not make sense any more....

OK, I understand very much and just tried to suggest a way to revive something. No problem.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

This is designed in such a way that all of us here spend a little more time in friendship and exchange an interesting posts and thoughts about the areas in which we live. Pure fun. Socializing. No philosophizing about where or not is or was "stuck" Elrond .... in which corner of Middle-earth.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

We should do some moves here and send this Elrond only to members who are active on our forum... and revise this list. Otherwise it will come to me for 10 years.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

And I promise I'll take it around throughout my county and send it away within a month... and I will send it all photos to Gildor and write a short essay on his journey in Istria. Although I am not an expert in English.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Maybe the problem is that the parcel has grown a lot and it is a bit unsendable (money speaking)?? Is it Harald who still has it? If it is, I would like to beg him to "release it" because it is a part of our common history, all those notes, pictures, postcards and all of that, are invaluable treasuries for the oldest members here.

In fact when Elrond visited me, I felt obliged to send it over again, just to not fail to my own honour, despite I couldn't make his planned travels as I would have liked. And the package (I am sure) was a quarter of what it would be now...

If there is some kind of communication problem between Harald and the following member of the list, maybe Elrond could just travel to another "neutral" member who doesn't have communication issues and then restore the order of the listings.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

the package has a lot of things but it is not "big" nor heavy... postcards, letters, and two 32mm figs is less heavy than most of what Prince August regurlarly sends us smile

well I don't know  the reasons about Halbarad keeping it as if it was "his precious"... that's not very acceptable, most of all from a dunadan wink

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I think I have some good news.
I contacted Hwolf yesterday and got an answer this morning. Here it is :

"Salut Yves,
Yes, Elrond is still here among my Mithril miniatures, but he will travel before Christmas to the next collector fellow.
I have just to write his adventures with me and Gandalf and he then will travel on.
Greetings from Germany, Harald"

So, OK, let's go on a positive mood and Elrond will be moving !

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, his adventures could be written here or online anywhere... that's no good reason for me, but let's accept it

if by january 2016, it has not left Harald home it could be urgent to mass write to him to ask him to let Elrond go...

there is nothing else alas that can be done...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

The present HOST contacted me- because I am next in line- concerning postal matters.
So things are moving. Not knowing how fast, but moving . . .
And WHEN Master Elrong reaches me- I surely will inform you!

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, here I am, coming back after a couple of years (two, afaik) and Elrond is just about to swap his home again - but yet years from reaching his home?

If he ever manages to get home again, there is a story to be told.

Good to see you back, Axel.

As for Elrond, let's hope he really moves this time.

Is his original home still open?

Considering the length of his travels, this almost justifies giving him his own website :-)

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Somewhere on my comp I do have some pics with Elrond around here - chatting with the Mithril bunch in my cabinet, and one where he visits the leaning tower of Suurhusen :-)
Hopefully I can dig these up and add them to the gallery.

News of Travelling Elrond folks!

I let him go finally.
Namárië! – Farewell!

He was not very amused to be stuffed in that cardboard box again,
but Master Turambar CAN AWAIT him the next days when the sun is in the sky.

Unexpected it took longer, but many things happened.

But one thing i whould like to say here:
I never INTENDED to keep him as a "Precious"

Sérë? – Peace?
