Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Oh yes, the Easterling Champion suggestion has been put up so many times that I'd actually forgotten whose idea he was! Well done indeed, Master Tree. Since we've seen very few Easterlings from The Man it will be ionteresting what interpretation he makes regarding this one! It would be especially nice if he was one of the axemen that JRRT mentions....

Huoommm ... thank you, gentlemen ... huom ... that Easterling champion was only suggested two times ... hom ... and I'll leave it completely up to Mr Tubb how to present/interpret this figure as it seems that he doesn't like emails any more ... rhûom

Only twice? I'm surprised - seems longer.

I am compiling the list for the suggestions again, adding the last four years - including now the actual release number to the first suggestor and the number of suggestions.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Well, some people might know, that I am a HUGE fan of those Easterlings!
And I am very happy indeed about the fact he will be produced. The answer is: When.
Meanwhiling it is up to a year. And: hopefully the company still produces miniatures at this point far away in the future.

But this means also:
there is NO Easterling champion inside the already but not produced range which is hidden inside a dusty corner somewhere in the sculptor´s house . . .

Because: I suggested a Easterling mounted archer long time ago and the suggestion was cancelled by Master Michael which the justification,
that this figure already excists!

Confusing, isn't it? But how long ago was that?

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

huuOomm ... confusing that is indeed ... rhuômm ... a very long time ago that must have been ... hm ... lasting back to the days when still there were plans by The Man about his sculpted Easterling series being released by Mithril ... huoomm ... alas, that clearly was in one of the last two Mithril-decades ... huom ... the second last that might have been, methinks ... huoom ... anyway ... what does it matter nowadays? ... huom ... I've given up all my hopes for good to witness the release of that wild bunch some years ago ... grrrhûom ...
hm ... as for Master O'Briens reaction I'm not sure as he's not what I'd call a Mithril-expert ... huom ... I can imagine that he might have mistaken the M152 Variag horseman as an Easterling ... rhuom ... who knows ...

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Well, gentlemen, I can concrete the time very close: it was somewhere in 2010!
Very  close after this cancelling a variag archer was suggested! And produced . . .

( . . . just had called him Variag instead of Easterling was my first thought . . . The devil is a squirrel- as we say here )

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

That's an interesting expression that I haven't heard before - local dialect I assume (and nothing to do with the black squirrel I've just seen in the garden! Yes, the local population of black squirrels that I've mentioned elsewhere have now adventured this far east!)

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Hello friends. Please serve a round in my honor. Here are a few coins ...
In recent months I could not go to greet the friends of the tavern (birth of another child, new job, etc ...), various reasons have led me aside a little of the Mithril figures. I hope to recover gradually the pace and return to greet more often .... smilewink
I wish you a happy Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! big_smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Merry Christmas to all the great Mithril friends. Even if Mithril ends, I know I have made many friends here for life!

That is something I am very grateful for.

Cheers to all, and Barli--please set up another round and include yourself. Not that you don't take a nip on occasion, but the next one is paid for!
