Re: THE TAPROOM 3

And yes, the support for Earnur's hore-leg is an eyesore, I agree. I haven't ordered mine yet, but I shall probably add some tall tufts of grass on that part of the base to hide the strut. Otherwise, as Master Milo says, strengthening one or both of the rear legs is the only other option, which is far roo fiddily for my talents (or opatience!).

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Dreadful news from Europe again. Do we have any Belgian regulars? I hope that everyone and their families are safe. I can't say what I think about the mindless fools responsible for these sorts of atrocity.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

I'm also from Belgium. Thanks for your worries, but I did not notice anything from the attacks because I didn't have to be in Brussels today. I do know many people working in our capital, but no one I know was among the casualties. That doesn't make things less bad for the casualties of course. It's scary to hear about acts of war so close, in a city where I have to be at least once in a week.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

huoomm ... let me get back to comment on Master Barliman's observation about the Sangarunya-figure. Indeed, there is only one (left) cheek-guard, which would be a bit complicated to be fixed in real life .... rhûoom .... the pic on the official Mithril-homepage shows front and back of the figure, so there you can see what Master Barliman referred to ... huom ... and he is right, of course ... hom ... anyway, I really like that figure ...

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Hello Friends, very sad about Brussels!

I have not ordered the newer figures yet, but will probably secure the back legs of Earnur's horse when I buy it.

Hey Barli, how about an ale?

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Hi Master ent,
I went on MMP also yesterday but I was working in my gallery and did not find spare time for a drink.
5151 is indeed a nice number. And I think master Turambar likes also this 51 number as it a famous pastis here in France which I remember he once told us he fancies it.
On my side, 2nd breakfast will be welcome.

Nob? Wake up boy!big_smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Oh I forget to mention.
Last weekend- over a short rip to London- I had the possibility to visit Chris Tubb in his "atelier". He was a very gentle host.
I had the chance to take photographs of the abandonned "Wilderland-range" and of course my so beloved "Easterling-range" which is the best I have ever saw!
There are two more ranges which unfortunately never will see the daylight and nobody are aware of- I supose- but I can tell you how magnificent they are.

UNFORTUNATELY I CAN NOT POST PICTURES HERE!

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Master Archer
I am shocked! It would be such a shame to see his beautiful work going lost...

Can you tell us why those Wilderland- and Easterling-ranges are abandonned ?
Were one of them supposed to become the numbers M541-M550, which still form a gap in the M-range ?
Can't mister Tubb release those figures (or at least a few of them) using his own brand 'phaeton-design' ?

Lot of questions but this is so sad...

Woooooo MasterTurambar,

May I suggest you open a dedicated topic in "The Mathom House of Michel Delving" so that we all can put our comments in private?

You cannot imagine how much I envy you. roll

A privileged insight indeed Master Turambar, but respect the trust of Mr Tubb wink and do not be tempted to share images in case others who are able to visit are not allowed an insight.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Master Archer's report confirms what a lot of us have guessed or vaguely known about for a while, and I remain puzzled and saddened that these figures haven't - and may never - see the light of day.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of legal reason - contractual, copyright or otherwise - that prevents these figures from being produced under some other banner, name or guise?

Who actually "owns" them? Was Master T. paid for the works by Mithril and therefore cannot do anything with them?

So many questions!!

"April´s Fool Day", gentlemen, "April´s Fool Day".
As you can imagine, Mr. Tubb will never invite me and I will never visit him.
Have a drink instead with me together, some coiny things should be found- somewhere . . .

Well, Master Gerold- you can be sure that I did everything possible as far as those Easterlings are concerned.
I never receive any answer from the sculptor nor any hint of possibilities releasing them anyhow.
(Remember the "Necromancer´s Tower Range").
His own brand 'phaeton-design' seems to be cancelled meanwhiling. Maybe too less fellows bought Shakespear related figures . . .
