I will drink to Nino! Thanks Dave.

It is hard to believe, Dave, that it has been 3 years since we met you in London!

We are going again next year, but this trip will be to Italy and Croatia. ;-)

Time flies by so quick for us mortals Tom, I hadn't realised it was three years. I hope you have a great trip to Italy and Croatia, and if you manage to meet up with Nino I hope you will find some Guinness or you will have to drink slivovitz wink.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

I always thought the right spelling is: SliBovitz . . .  hicks . . .
I prefer the hungarian variant named: Palinka! Hicks . . .

I supposse, the Barkeeper knows what I am talking about . . .

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Master Tree and the Man in the Dark are correct, Master Turambar - rendered into English it is spelt Slivovitz, or sometimes Slivovitsa. Palinka isn't one I stock in the Pony - there are so many varieties I wouldn't know where to start.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Well, I'll go to the foot of my stairs, as we say here in Bree. My nephew has just won a Gold medal in Rio!

I suppose that means I have to buy all you fellows a drink?

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

I'm still finding it hard to believe. Someone pinch me! (Preferably someone without claws or talons, please.)

And he has nothing to do with Brighton, Master Elf. This chap knows how to mix more cocktails than I do.

Kayak sprint, Master Thingol, as Master Dave has guessed. That's the reason he doesn't work here any more - his shoulders became so wide he couldn't fit through the door!

Congrat's to your nephew Master Barliman. I wonder if hobbits did compete there as we are not very good on rivers do we ?

Thanks also for the free drink.

I did hear a rumour that they used hobbits in weight-training.

Master Barliman, may I offer drinks to everyone today as I am a happy mithril fan. big_smile

Some collectors here have filled many holes, directly from my attic and I met this afternoon another MMP fellow. More news soon in IRL section.
