Friends and Foes of Mithril !

Finally I can present you the pictures of scenes of book III I have tried to recreate with painted figures of my Mithril collection.

I start where book II ended, at Amon Hen, and I finish with Helm's Deep. Hope you enjoy!

Part I - Boromir

Aragorn runs up the hill and hears the rumour of a fight

Boromir defends Merry and Peppin against the war party of Ugluk

There are too many enemies. Boromir blows his horn for help

When Aragorn arrives, it is too late. (Sorry, I can't get this picture right)

The three remaining friends carry a fallen hero into a boat

Farewell, son of Gondor

In his arms he holds his horn and his broken sword. Arms of his beaten opponents lie at his feet

Ugluk and Grishnak argue. Mordor orcs and servants of Saruman stand against eachother.

Riders turn against Mauhurs war party

Eomer has descended from his mount, for giving a final blow from his sword to a deadly wounded Ugluk

I bought the Rohan houses from a German eBay-seller. It must have been some 10 years ago. He was really good, but I don't think he still makes scenery these days.

At Helm's Deep Saruman has gathered Hithaeglir Orcs, Half-orcs and Dunlending tribes for an attack

King Theoden is ready for battle

Enemies reach the walls and put up ladders, climbing them fast

Heavy fight on the walls

Massive attack on the gate
