Well, after a very long time, and much distraction and procrastination, I took some photos of my mostly completed Woodmen warband and their orc enemies.
Alas the Orcs and Trolls were in the old vault when the window was cut into it, so they are somewhat dusty (on top of the gunge just from being in the vault). So some of the orcs look a bit weird.
Anyway, here's the first image:

And now, a second:
Eadmund, son of Siugurd, son of Girwain
When Siugurd was exiled by Grima Wormtongue, he travelled north to the old site of Framsburg and ruled there as a Northman Atheling. When the storms of war found him, he valiantly gave his life. Now his son Eadmund leads a band of Rohir cnaiths into battle with Sauron's forces.

Brilliant work, Gavin. there is A LOT to recognize . . . And especially a marvellous Eorl ! Or is it here such a single rohirrim . . .

And finally, for now:
The woodmen warband defends itself.
The plan is to finish off the last nine orcs from the Dol Guldor Orc warband I've been painting, photograph it for the Mithril page and then use the board for my Battle of the Five Armies diorama.
After that is done (whenever that will be) I will return to the Battle of Mirkwood and focus on Lorien Elves. After that I may use a combination of Rohir warriors and Dunlending warriors (from the various Helm's Deep themed released) to create a Beorning warband. I am going to say that the Mithril Beornings, swathed as they are in fur are the "bear shirt" warrior elite of the Beornings, whereas most Beornings look and dress more like other Northmen.

Thanks again.
I am really experimenting with the camera to figure out how to make it work most effectively. I am using a newer camera than before which simply wouldn't behave until I figured out how to suppress its flash.
I might take more test pictures later in the week.

Great work Gavin. A most creative use for existing figures and wonderful conversions. This, for me, is what makes MMP such a joy (well, this and the scrumpy:P). Waiting to see more...

Very excellent work Gavin, the muted colours work very well and the battle scenes are very convincing. More please Sir!

Gavin, I have to add: After some time of looking and thinking over . . .
I really like your Eorl, I have to say very, very much. Do you think it works giving some more closeups of him ?
Offline
I'll get you some during the week!
I am in exile from home due to all the pipes being worked on, so no pictures till I get back.
The Eorl conversion worked pretty well, but it wasn't quite as heroic as I had hoped.

You've said all the world. Excellent work and conversion! I like the "uniformity" in the tones of the colors of the clothing of warriors

Hey Gavin, I must add my voice to the chorus of praise. I especially like your Dagohir--I think you nailed it!!

Thanks all.
More pictures over the weekend, maybe, got the plumbing mostly sorted and hopefully I'll have a chance between wall repairs to maybe finish the Orcs off.
