Re: The Taproom

Found the figures Master Daines was talking about and all I can say is...maybe?

They look a little too heroic for me (bit too exaggerated) and the horses are way too overdone.

But, yeah, the outfits and attitude and faces look interesting.

Re: The Taproom

yes, to few voters. Do we really wish another Half-troll as a GF-figure??????

Is there no one, who wants to support Haldir (or even Bombur?).
Maybe that is a signal for the company to think about the GF! So if you want to keep the GF alive, vote!!

Re: The Taproom

huoooommmmm ... as for another matter I contacted The Man about that primer on one of the last days ... rhuoommm ... he was simply NOT aware of that problem, as he wasn't informed ... rhuoommmhuomm ... I do not want to quote here for certain reasons, but I want to tell you that he now IS aware and he told me that he was going to immediately react to this urgent matter ... rhuommm ... that's all a hasty Ent could do, believe me .... rhuoommm .... though hasty I had to be, methinks ... huom
Huommmm ... as for the other matter about coiny things ... huommm ... I didn't really want to know what some of you spend them for ... rhuooommm ... I just gave the advise to save some of them for something special ... rhuoommm ... something unexpected, so to say ... rhuoommm ... might be worth some of them coiny things, I'm sure ... huoommm ... as far as I know The Man wrote a press release about that ... rhuoooommmhuoommm ... but I wonder if Master O'Brian will release a next newsletter ... huom ... anyway it is meant for that ... huoomm
Rhuoommm ...
Master Barliman, is this rumour (though more than one were included here) enough to pass on a very nice bowl of clear-clean-honey-coloured-watery liquid ? ...   .... ...  .... .....   huoommmm?

Re: The Taproom

Your rumour is worth a bowl of liquid, Master Tree, but I'm agog to know what it's about (assuming it isn't something we already know about - it's not more of those vertically challenged Mw chaps, is it?). And "press release"? What press release? - I haven't seen one. Where can a body view it?

Bt the way, Master Gildor, do you have any idea how I keep becoming "unsubscribed" from this forum!? It's happened twice in the past few days alone. Makes it very hard to keep an eye on what people are up to in the bar.

Re: The Taproom

Huoommm ... so hasty you are, Master Barliman again ... huommm ... thanks for the bowl of liquid, by the way ... delicious ... it was .... indeed ... rhuoommm ... well, of course it isn't anything even a barkeep in Bree might have heard about before ... rhuoommm ... I cannot imagine you have ... huoommmm ...  but ... well, ahem ... if I may have another one of that ... please ...
rhuoommm bowls, I mean ... I can tell you a bit more ... rhuoommm ... as for the press release I just received it today .... rhuooommm ... not public that is so far .... huooommm
Master Barliman, I know that my way of talking or thinking might not always meet your Breeish brains ... sorry ... but I would rather advise you not to give up the Pony .... rhuoommm ... it would end in a mess, I'm sure .... rhuoommm ...
So what about another bowl of that you-know-what.... rhuoommm ... barkeeps do know that by the increase of them liquids given freely (that means without charging or producing tabs or things like that) certain custumor's tongues might be ... huoommm ...  dry throat I do have indeed , sorry ... rhuoommm ... so well?

Re: The Taproom

unsuscribed or you mean unlogged each time you join the forum?

if it is unlogged you have to :
-check the little checkbox asking you if you want the site to remember you each time you log in
-make sure your web browser accept cookies as it is the system used to recognize you if you check the checkbox.

If cookies are not authorized then indeed it cannot store your info and you have to log each time sad

you have to check both those aspects...

well enough for techniques....

I am more than happy that master Theobald wrote to the man, I was actually preparing such a letter myself but I did not have the time to finish it. and after all, it is good that someone besides me write to the man about "problems", I feel as if I am always bringing him bad news he is not aware of... and I would not like to be a "stormcrow"....

Theobald, did you provide pictures of the unassambled still "primed" with-all-little-parts-attached badly to the Man so that he can observe the problem himself with his own eyes?

Did you notice besides the primer, the way the small parts were casted all together with BIG metal racks holding them (which are sometimes dangerous to cut without hurting the small part)... Indeed I suppose that casting the whole figurine in a single piece of metal reduces costs, but well.... if we break the figurine while assembling it, that's not worth paying it this price too hmm

Re: The Taproom

Re my becoming "unsubscribed", Master Gildor, I meant that my "subscription" to the Taproom keeps geing "un"-subscribed. Since I'm not changing anything, I can only suppose it's a technical issue, though I've no idea what!

Also, I know what you mean re the "sprue" on the latest figures. I've found that the best way to avoid damaging anything is to snip the individual pieces off with a small piece of sprue still attached, and then file the piece (sword, shield or whatever) down to size. That way you avoid damaging the edge of the component.

Oh no, I did not vote for the troll...  I voted for my own suggestion, but if it is a close count for a named figure to make the next round of voting, I would rather support that one than my own.  Of course, the remedy is to just wait longer before voting...  big_smile

Re: The Taproom

Huoommmm .... Master Gildor, unfortunately I wasn't able in such a short time to provide The Man with pictures of that badly primed figures ... rhuoommm ... though I can assure you that he is taking this matter very (sic!) seriously .... and as I said, took steps .... huommm.
I do not mind telling The Man about certain problems, as they're mine as well ... huoomm ... I did not assemble any figure of the 'Gamling's rally' so far, just put them out of the blisters to have a closer look at them ... rhuoommm ... I had to do that ... huoommm ... I know that The Man so far hasn't seen any of them .... huoomm ...no, Master Gildor as for me I do not feel to be a "stormcrow" when providing facts ... huoommm ... facts The Man wasn't aware of ... rhuoommm ...
on the other hand, Master Gildor, you should know me by now .... rhuooommmmmmhom

Re: The Taproom

Thanks and praise to the Tree, who reacted hastily and informed the Man. Hope Eru will use his influence.

And Gildor, I do not think, you should be called stormcrow, and if so, well then you are immortal and wear one of the most popular hats ever ;-).

Another bowl shuld be given those, who voted for Elves, dwarves and whatever. Anyway I have nothing against Half Trolls, I did not want to blame anybody big_smile.

Did anyone of you notice, that Gamling's rally are Dol Amroth miniatures?? sad cool

Have a look at the website of the company. It's true! I think Michael must be at holidays as this is a bad mistake and we got no newsletter. The reason for such few votings maybe.

Re: The Taproom

Huuoommmm ... what about me, Master Estel, I voted for my own suggestion, which was the ship king of Gondor ... rhuoommm ... so, no bowl for me, alas ... grooohommm ...
all in all I do think that most of you read me messages much too hastily ... huommm ... but so you are ... huoommm ... I don't mind ...
As for a personal note, Master Estel, I feel a bit too much honoured ... rhuoomm ... nevertheless, thank you very much .... rhuooommm ... it's not influence at all, as trees do not influence nor even try to ... rhuoommm ... sometimes they do react ... that's all ... huoommm.

Why every time I pop down to the cellar to add a few more dead rats to the brew do people think I'm not here? You can always ask Nob for service - he's got nothing else to do since I confiscated his Wii game.

Re: The Taproom

Huoommmm .... I'll pay for the bowl with a rumour by The Man:
Rhuoomm ... ahemm ...err ..
"The next Mx offering from Mithril in conjunction with a Fellowship member will be the most ambitious project yet we have undertaken in these series. The Mx release is not just a single figure but an entire vignette.
"The un-expected party".
While still in the planning stage we can tell you that it will have something of the same atmosphere as "The prancing Pony" release from 1988. It will comprise a series of small vignettes which will build into a complete scene of the great party at Bag-end.
Also, at last, Bombur will make an appearance in the Mithril range!"

Rhuoommm ... that's where we are. ...... huooommmrhuommm ... I hope you don't mind ....hom

Re: The Taproom

Just coming back out of my wonderful little garden ( it was one of the few sunny days in this part of Germany )  and what is here?
A dry tree ?! Oh my goodness !
I will give you this " long expected " drink for free, Master Tree, for sure. And because of your encourage and your commitment there ar more drinks coming . . . big_smile
More than fantastic news fresh outta m-universe ( this is original the "P"- univeres and it is a song by Booootsy Collins . . . by the way )
I still wonder a little bit of the fact of placing this "roumor" here and today . . .

But we should concentrate in the future about that Christmas riddle . . .
