Helms Deep: my work

I tried to take some pics of my Helms Deep in a modular, playable version. Yes, we can (use Mithril figures for tabletop wargaming). The main reason for the modular construction is, that I did not have enough space to store lots of fortresses in my old "maisonry".
Please enjoy and feel free to comment. Yes, I am NOT a photographer.......

Re: Helms Deep: my work

the painting of those figures seems absolutely marvellous to me ... respect, Master Estel ... all those tiny details, even in fabrics, so brilliantly done ... respect again ... thank you for providing those pics ... so your Dunlendings are rather more pictish ...

Well, Estel, you have taken my idea and made it look great! I am working on the same thing, but am not ready yet. Great paint jobs too!

Very well done Lord of the Paints! You honour your name!

The only thing I never liked are these huge bases.
Yes, I know, wargaming.....

Jason, what do you mean, he took your idea? I always thought it was Tolkiens idea!lol

Excellent job! Many hours spent, which give a wonderful result smile

Re: Helms Deep: my work

Thank you for all your nice comments. Unfortunately I never had time to build the last and main parts of the castle and the connection between castle and walls

@jdbrown55: mabye but unlikely, as I built Helms Deep some years ago big_smile keep on working, I am much interested how your version will look like.

@Theobald: yes, pictish is what also my wife said, when she saw the miniatures the first time; and fabrics are great, damn I like to paint such things....

Re: Helms Deep: my work

My apologies Master Estel! I was just saying that I have a Helm's Deep in the works right now. Mine may take that long too, if I don't get anymore minis by then.big_smile

Yes, Holger, I didn't create the wonderful Helm's Deep, but to see Master Estel's and my castles is something to behold!wink

Nothing to apologize, master jdbrown55, I took it as some kind of humour, something me too likes to do....

@hsf62: I am sorry, my apologies, I did not want to send an "order" to you. Anyway, it would be great to oaint some of your conversions. I think Saruman would be proud seeing your work  smile
