Re: The Taproom

Re the MX news. I think this is the perfect project, almost the start of the whole affair that sets the tone for all that follows and a scene I have always wished for. So good on yer, Master Tree, I guess Bombour will push the price up though big_smile

Will they be eating Bilbo's cakes and drinking his tea and ale or playing music instruments and singing "Over the Misty Mountains cold.....".

Still not too sure where the announcement of a Bombur being added to the Mithril range fits in with all this. Does anyone know more?

Re: The Taproom

I guess he meant that with this MX vignette/mini diorama we'll at last get Bombour as a Mithril release (as well as the rest of the vertically challenged chaps) as part of this MX set and not as a general MS release though, but looking at the current vote we may get him even sooner.

That's how I read it anyhow wink

Yes, sorry, I was being gormless (not that I ever had much gorm) - for some reason I was thinking of Blobbo's 111th birthday party - i.e., the 'long expected' party rather than the 'un-expected' one. That'll teach me to read things properly before opening my mouth and putting my foot in it.

Re: The Taproom

Huooommmmm .... I think your guess is right Master Ddaines ... huom ... so you have read the chapter in the Hobbit again ... rhuoommm ... yes, they will do all that, I hope .... huoomm ...
I also like the idea of some of the other "vertically challenged chaps", as you like to call them, to see the light .... rhuoommm ... some of them have always been forgotten when it was about suggesting new ideas on the Gold Fellowship Board .... rhuuoom ... indeed I cannot remember any suggestions for Dwalin, Bifor or Ori and others ... rhuoommmhuom ... well, that's what I think about this .... huommmmmm

Re: The Taproom

Huoommmm ... rhuoommm ... yes, having a closer look at words isn't bad at all, Master Barliman ... rhuoommm ... but what about that putting your foot in your mouth ... rhuom ... I don't understand ... huom ... doesn't make sense to me ... rhuoomm ... anyway ... take your time and re-read that chapter again, it's worth it ... huoououommm
Huoommm ... Master Ddaines, I don't think that you "will get him sooner" ... that MS-Bombur, I mean ... rhuoommmtodomtiddelydom ...

Re: The Taproom

Working on the principle of low long an MS takes to appear at the moment, I assume Master Tree? So you mean then that the MX element containing Bombur will be with us earlier than that time-span? Hmmm (or 'Huoommm', as the Tree might say...), very interesting.

Oh, and the foot in the mouth thing doesn't translate from the Bree dialect, then? I never thought of that.

Re: The Taproom

A book with a face????

That reminds me on a very bad horror movie of the eigthies, an evil minded book called Necronomicon.....something from the Dark Lord, me thinks.

Re: The Taproom

Wasn't Johnny Depp's 'The Ninth Gate' based on that one? (Good movie - like everything with Johhny Depp in it - but a bit weird.)
