Thanks Master Gildor and Master Ent.
As for the new member, I'm sure you Master Theobald do know Halbarad II (Harald Wolf).

Re: The Taproom

Much better idea. That way I may actually make some money for a change. But welcome anyway to Master Halbard II. Hopefully he'll pop into the Pony soon.

Re: The Taproom

65 pounds is not much money for such rare thing as those dwarves are. We would see how much will Dominique asks for them on his eBay auction soon. I thing Master... something

Re: The Taproom

oh I suppose he will ask something aroung 40€ for ONE figurine of the set (since he is used to sell them separatly)

that would make 160€ for the set , more than twice the original price

Re: The Taproom

Yes, I want to welcome you as well, master HalbaradII.
Concerning our beloved dwarves I want to say that I payed 75€ for them. If I calculate the right way that means 18.75€ for each dwarf.
That is cheaper than a GF-miniature so far! The reason why I was VERY concentrate this time and I am still angry about last time, when I missed those axemen.
So, nothing to worry about, instead of Mr. D.
But, who cares, you don´t have to buy them for his price, simple as that. I surely won´t for 40€, but this price is still an assumption.
Although a quiet realistic assumption  . . .

Re: The Taproom

now I wonder how master Zoetrop could manage to generate statistics for the MW346 and MW347 in his next price list, for me to display it on the database...
those two entries are a bit ... difficult to manage... we can calculate the total price of the MW half-orcs by doing the sum of all the prices C.Tubb sold them on ebay... and we can begin to calculate the same for the so-far-released dwarves... but.. if some of these were then sold by drizzt in any way, or by another, this will dramatically alter ONE single figurine of the whole set thus making the finding of the "average" price of such set... quite a headache...

but once again,  I thought aloud and that's not thoughts that should be heard in a taproom

another cider master barliman smile  I'll pay in pics wink as soon as I get leave to display any that I already possess wink

I see my procrastination has undone me again: there were very few suggestions this month and the tone of suggestions was somewhat...jaded.

Though Estel suggested Haldir, so I shall be voting for Haldir.

Re: The Taproom

I confess, I didn't suggest anything this month - I've been very very busy with 'real life', hence also my brief responses to Pony issues. I shall remain horribly preoccupied for the next couple of weeks too, for which I apologise in advance. But Nob knows how the spigots work, so he'll be able to keep your tankards topped up.

Re: The Taproom

*an exhausted elf enters the taverns, he feels totally tired, which is not seen often among elves...*

Now I could really use some refreshments... Nob, a double pint would you?

oh why am i so tired? well I spent the afternoon filling informations, postings lots of pictures here and there in something we, elves, call "database".... renaming stuff, adding entries for prototypes in the database, beginning filling the "related figurines" sections thanks to master Axel listings! Cheers to master Axel... but enough for now

a drink is in order!

Re: The Taproom

At once master Inglorion!  here you go, will it be enough? I found it in the cellar...

*Nob opens a small cask of Cider from Dale - one of the best among Barliman Butterbur private stocks - and offers it entirely to the tired elf*

If you need anything, food, other drinks, room... company? I'll be around!

*Nob returns to the kitchen, whistling*

Re: The Taproom

Hmmm, schizophrenia now, is it, Master Elf...er, Nob...er, whoever? Or is this dual personality merely a cunning ploy to get yourself free drinks by imitating my midget bar-help?

Re: The Taproom

(I assure you master caster, that 35°c  around, with no way to lower the temperature below 30°C inside your house sad is really saddening us and frightens my wife and I.... for the baby ... that's too hot and he suffers from that....

Re: The Taproom

You are right Master Gildor, these little guys and girls are overheating quickly and this is not a good thing. A fan just to move the air is very helpful to keep them cooler.

Re: The Taproom

Rruoommhuommm ... huom ... so as Master Barliman is absent for a while I might provide more romours here ... huoommm ... I promised him not to talk about the "un-expected party" at this place any more .... rhuooommm ... but some of you might be still interested in news, facts or rumours about this matter ... huoomm
Hom... I've just heard that the plan of having a diorama (!) can be realized ... huoommhom ...
diorama, I said, not using the word vignette any more ... rhuoomm ... as the diorama consists of many small vignettes which are to be combined on a large 'diorama-base' ... huoomhom ... as trees don't know much about casting and sculpting problems ... I was very much relieved when I heard the news ... huomrhuommm ... yes, the good old 'Prancing Pony' .... I still do like it ... so there will be an additional furniture set to that diorama I mentioned .... rhuoommm ... if you're interested I could tell you what those 15 beings are doing ... rhuoommm ... just to pass the time ... rhuoomm

Always the same, the cat is out of the house and the mice are dancing on the tables....
I guess it is called self service then. Cheers to all who's absent or innocent or whatever...
