Don't scrubb. I have my method of getting rid of any paint and primer without a lot of scrubbing.

Damnit, and I wasted all that time.
Oh well, I'll box them up and send them to you this week then!

Gone are the sets!
I'm glad some got yours.
At the end have been 9 set in the total were sold (plus 30 at first)
Offline
So if anybody here missed them out again, let me know. HSF bought a set himself, so my second set can go to another collector here (for the original price, naturally, 77€)
If you are fast we can perhaps even ask the man to send them to you instead of to me :-)

Huoommm ... and here, too ... rhuoomm ... but why have those been 39 sets? Master Erchamion ... and how do you know about this? ... huoomm ... that 'Saruman's army' had less sets being sold ... rhuoommhom ...

Huoommmdruoommm ... hom ... I bought a second set for me next Christmas Riddle (last Christmas there also was a second set of them Dwarves I could give away then) ... rhuoommm ... but, alas ... as there are so many of them Dwarves to be given away here, I ask myself if any Christmas Riddle would be welcomed by any of you regulars around here ... huom

In the Barrow-downs, we say that if we have 30 tombs and later we have 9 more, we have 39 tombs in total ... I don´t know how to be in the Fangorn Forest .....

Seriously, thirty sets were sold in August and nine now. Right? Are there any other items for sale by Ebay that I have lost?
How many sets of Saruman's army were sold?

Huooommm ... also just trying to be serious, Master Erchamion ... hom ...
about that Saruman's Army I can say that there were 6 different sets being sold ... rhuoomm ...
it was said that the casting of some of them was about 27 for each set ... rhuoomm .. less than that M16 ... huoommm ... that's nearly all I know of ...
Ahem ... Master Protozeus ... rhuommm ... I really did not understand you in the Ent ... of course there are willows in Fangorn ... rhuoommm

Have been sold only 6 sets of Saruman´s army through Ebay? Truly, they are far fewer than dwarves ...
In addition, Master Theobald, perhaps the Old Willows is a common family far ...
Half tree-half Wight .... You, who rather more old than me, maybe you remember who were their parents...

Huoommm ... sorry, but I don't know anything about Old Willows, Master Erchamion ... huomm ...
but I've just heard that the second 'bonus-figure' of the GF will be Isildur and the One Ring ... hom ... I hope it will differ a bit from the LR-Isildur (and the LO one) ... rhuoommm ... anyway I'm happy about the fact that there will be another 'bonus-figure' .... huomm

Just a word: 'boring'!
The 20 years celebration figure was just another Gandalf (o.k. nice figure), the first bonus figure was another witch king (sorry, but there was no real NEED for this) and now it just another Isildur with the one ring???
Why no Gandalf meets Bilbo or Bilbo with the one ring or Smeagol with the one ring or or or or??
Chris' designs are so great at the moment, so why not go a step further?? Why are there more witch kings than the dark lord has nazgul?? Why so many versions of Isildur??
Should I really spend my (spare) money for xy version of gandalf/Witch King/Isildur??
Sorry, when it is getting autumn with more rain and less sun, thoughts seem to become darker.

I agree it is at the same time a good thing but also a disapointment somewhere... but well, we can't say there are as much isildur in the 32m "single" range... only two I think.... (not counting vignettes) MAYBE this one would be... a 1993 Isildur in 32mm format? that would be cool
besides... it is a bonus figure, so unless I am mistaken.. this is a FREE figurine... you don't buy this one you are offered it... if you bought enough MS during the year...

I assume that the choice of figure is up to Chris. Therefore I assume that the figures he selects fit his own tastes. Or (and perhaps I'm being cynical to even think it), maybe - because he's so pressed for time - he chooses a subject he knows well so that it doesn't take him long to design it?

or he has a "model" or prototype somewhere he could use , that has not been "released" yet... who knows... it would be easier to adapt...and produce...

Interesting things happened here meanwhiling! Also important things . . .
The Master Caster is satisfied! An amazing thing this is! Congrats, Master Caster, from my heart.
Sorry for my absence, but I have to paint . . . magnificent Halforcs . . . two different sets . . . puuhhh.

Yes, I did it and so did Axel and Gavin. Thanks to them for thinking of me. Greatly appreciated!
Can't wait to see them Halforcs....

Huooommmrhuoommm .... as for that 'bonus figure' again I would like to mention that I'm very much pleased with it, no matter what character of the Tolkien-universe is reveiled ... rhuoomm ...
alright, it was me getting on Master O'Brian's nerves about such matters ... rhuoommm ... but bonus-figures were promised by the Company, weren't they? ... huoommm ... so I try to insist just by asking ... huoommm ... remember the tradition of releasing Christmas figures, please ... I also kept on asking after I witnessed that there was no Christmas figure one year (2005) to start that good old tradition again [by the way was there a Christmas figure in 2008????] ... so we had a brilliant Thranduil, a fascinating Sharkey-figure ... you know ...
huooommmmmmrhuuoommmmm ........
huomm ... I would like to stress what Master Gildor said before ... it's not us to decide about which figure should be chosen ... rhuoommm ... that's what we do in the 'Gold-Fellowship', right?
rhuoommm ... it's not up to us at all .... huom ... and as for me, I'm glad that the Company offers the chance of a free (sic !) figure I don't have to pay for ... rhuoommm ... this I do respect very much and it's not me who would ever criticize The Man's choice for the figure ...
... never ... rhuooommmmhuommmhom ...

you are right master ent
as for the christmas 2008 well you said it yourself : it was sharkey fleeing north
2006 is the last 54mm Christmas to date, the Arthedain Captain... 2007 was Thranduil

Taking root, are we?
Offline
Huooommmm ... not really taking roots, Master Gavin, not at all ... rhuoommm ... but sometimes every being needs some kind of rest ... huomm ... if you had had a close look at the latest GF-newsletter you might have found out that I'm still involved in some kind of thoughts ... rhuoommm ... not running around hastily doesn't necessarily mean to take roots, as you put it ... huommm ... I do like a certain lazyness, as it gives me time for better contemplation ... hom

The latest picture shows that the project continues to proceed to the same high standard as the earlier figures. I especially like this particular group, which - if I have to economise when the time comes - is the one that I'd buy if I could only afford to buy one part! Gandalf and Thorin are tremendous. The Man is doing you proud, Master Tree!
