Thranduil was such a figure, originally something else, King Arthur I think, but adapted to fit the need. I have no problem with that either as it makes sense to utilise something that may otherwise go to waste.

Isildur is fine by me as I like the Numenorean style (not the 'plate' armour though big_smile) helms, but I hope the pose is not similar to those already, i.e. holding up the Ring. But as it is 'free' then welcomed anyway.

It would have been nice perhaps for CT to have chosen something from the GF suggestion 'pot' though as there is a wealth of good ideas still waiting AND suggested by us  the very people who the Freebie is for.

Still, let's see what appears.

Huooommmm ... strange it is that you didn't see a pic of this group when I hung it up in the Mathom House some time ago on 1st August ... rhuoommm ... besides, Master Barliman, there will be no single parts (groups) of this vignette being available ... huoomm ... the vignette will be offered as a whole, as I pointed out somewhere before ... huoom

Re: The Taproom

I'm afraid I don't have time to get over to the Mathom House as often as I should, or anywhere else for that matter either - Always things to do, money to (try to) earn and beers to pour. Nor did I see anything anywhere regarding the MX being a single-piece set. Possibly I wasn't paying attention. OK, very probably I wasn't. In fact I really haven't had a lot of time for hobby matters at all lately. Hence my frequent absences from the Pony.

As a single set I imagine it's going to be very expensive. In which case I'd better get back to work...

Dear Master Theobald,

dou think so? I have interpreted, the statements of Michael in the last newsletter in the way, that Mithril plans to release several vignettes, so they can be put together. Maybe I am wrong as you are the one who gives orders and invests so much in that project. Maybe I understood Michael wrong, maybe they have different plans??

Re: The Taproom

A good point, Master Estel. It was at the back of my mind that I'd seen a reference somewhere to the set consisting of several different vignettes.

Huoommmm ... the MX-"Unexpected Party" will be a vignette ... huomm ... consisting of several groups (unfortunately called vignettes) of about 3 figures each ... rhuoommm ... it will only be offered as MX535 "The Unexpected Party" ... huoomm... hom ... Master O'Brian can only broadcast information The Man gives him to publish ... rhuoommm ... as I tried to document this project in the Mathom House, I'll nail a list of the characters and poses over there ... rhuoomm.

Re: The Taproom

A Lay-away plan might be nice wink a deposit secures a reserve then pay by installments, when last installment is received figures are despatched.

Could get a bit messy though when trying to recoup the costs so a limit would have to be set.

Re: The Taproom

I don't have enough brain cells to even try to keep track of that sort of arrangement. I may just have to take out a second mortgage on the Pony.

Like mountaineers on the Wild West... you need to hire a few Hobbits to catch them. Those animals  were quicker than wise ents smile

Re: The Taproom

Thanks Master Thingol. Der Marder is not always wanted and loved, because these guys like to chew through brake hoses and electrical wires in cars....
Good idea to pay with them, so they are gone.lol

Re: The Taproom

In our small city those tiny animals are quite frequent to see in the evenings... I hope than they would eat lot's of car equipment so we would have less cars... I hate them... sometimes cars sometimes martens...

Master Ent are certainly agree with me... hooommmmrhooooom smile old way is better than the modern. Metal can not replace a tree, nor a robot man...

So dear martens I hope you'll eat a lot and we would have world with less vehicle smile

Hip huraaa for kuna, marten or Marder and for Nob and for all heary beasts in this forum smile

Re: The Taproom

The last thing I need behind the bar is another small, hairy thing that bites, Master Tree! I've already got Nob. The shiny metal things are much more acceptable.

And martens are rare round Bree. We only see them in the north, in pine forests.
