Re: Turtles are coming!

.... I like your way of making diorama concept Christoph... reminds me on me when I was doing big WWII dioramas. Long time ago..... maybe one day I should take back from past this praxis. But I glad to see how the turtle would be... and I saw some walls on sketch book lol or I imagine this......

Re: Turtles are coming!

Wow - really cool stuff!  Are they in the midst of besieging Helms Deep, worried about being struck by arrows and stones?

Great conversions, painting and concept!

PS: I have one small issue with some of the sculpts.  I find it odd that Chris models certain figures to hold a shield just with their hand.  I've always thought that the only way to hold a large, metal shield is with straps around your forearm.  But that is just a curious statement about the models!  It doesn't change that this is a beautiful diorama!

Well done!  big_smile

.... in same time on facebook and here on line with you Master from Mirkwood... I have no doubt that your diorama will be beautiful painted piece of Middle earth art... those orcs are simply wonderful and they look so real... I would not be happy to see them in the dark.... smile those choice of colors become my inspiration fore future Mithril painting jobs... I hope I will see them once face to face.... cool

You should see his "Lord of Khand" or "Thranduil" (M63) interpretations. -  I rarely use the word "awesome" ... but they also are just that. smile

I have not seen yet his "Lord of Khand" but M63 is exquisitely painted..... It is a pity that there are no those photos in his gallery....

Re: Turtles are coming!

Right you are, Master Thingol. But I cannot provide the pics I have, and there are even more of further projects, on his "workbench" or corks. - I always feel honoured to have a "first look" at those concepts.
Master Thingol, maybe one day we might be able to convince Master Turambar to provide some more pages of his "Sketch-book".
That one is a marvel, as I once said before. I only know a few pages ...

Re: Turtles are coming!

.... I think that would be a good start to sent him with the Christmas card one request to publish the photos in his gallery. There can be sketches and finished works....
