This is a separate topic just for my conversions.
First, here is my Mordor Orc Drummer (M150). To quote Ken Crawford: "this figure is a cast conversion by 'no name' (see the other thread), which is now changed. It started life as M150." For my part, I added the drum and batons.
Next, here is a Uruk Hai (M94). I bent his arm and changed his weapon.
Next, here is a Morgoth Orc (M222). I cut the end of the spear off and added a scoop full of hot coals.
I hope to add more conversions soon.

Hey George, nice conversions to see! I like them. I always like if somebody converted those figures . . .

... even Orcs have to eat sometimes. I hope these coals are not for barbecue and steaks from human flesh. bleaahhh
I'm joking... He should still put the cooking chef hat...
Nice to see those conversions George....

Nino - you're right! I should have given him a chef's hat and a bbq apron!!

M382: Southron Halberdier
Note: I'm sure this would have been easy for Master Caster! For me it was very difficult and tested my patience. There were 7 pieces glued together (6 pieces just for the arms and halberd).
He will be used in my Rangers of Ithilien diorama.

Nice work there George!

Nice. But somehow the arms seem to look a tiny bit too long?

Yeah, I'm wondering that too from the photos. But it looks fairly proportioned in person. I'm not sure if it's the camera angle.
I used the same arms that came with the regular model (had to separate the left arm from the shield) and swapped hands with a different model. Maybe when I bent the arms, it sort of distorted them a bit. Or maybe I got a wee bit more "wrist" with the new hands.
I'll have to be careful about that next time.
Thanks everyone!

You did very well George! That's how you create Masters. All made out of little pieces put together.

Here is my Stone Giant. Instead of hurling a boulder, he is tossing a meddlesome orc! Also, no giant is complete without a massive spiked club and a waterskin.
This will be part of a diorama at some point in the future. Perhaps distant future!
PS: I actually think this is not a very good sculpt. Most of Master Tubbs' are much better. So I figured I'd change it to suit my taste.

This "rocks"! Very good idea!

Original conversion George
May I add a little comment on the spiked club... the base of the club, or the handle if you prefer looks quite large (in diameter) to be firmly hold even by a stone giant (if you look at his hands) he would hardly grip the club and even if wielding it by two hands it would be awkward...I think the base diameter should be reduced a bit to allow a firm grip around it.
but anyway, that's a very cool conversion

Thanks guys!
And Gildor - I agree completely about the club. I was thinking about it while I was whittling away at it. For some reason I just stopped after a bit and I thought "OK, good enough!" Once I glued it in place and really looked at it I realized it wasn't narrow enough. Good catch - and hopefully a lesson I will learn next time.

Huoommm ... our Wandering Elf is very direct with his criticism ... but he was right.
Anyway, George, I also did not like that figure of the Stone Giant - though there are only a few figures in the Mithril range I dislike ... but here I can absolutely agree with your statement.
So it was very nice seeing that figure as a very nice conversion ... though I don't know why a stone giant is throwing orcs ... they do not fit well as missiles ... they're not hard enough ...
Offline
Thank you Theobald! But orcs make fine missiles - if the giants are playing football with them! Giants do love to play games..
And Gildor - I owe you a debt of gratitude! After reading your post, I whittled the club down to a smaller size - so it looks more appropriate. It was tricky since it was already attached with glue and green stuff - but I managed to do it. Thanks again.

That was a very good idea there George!
