Maybe your relief is based on the decision using no primer at all, Master Tree . . . Let´s have hope.
Motto: better than bad primer is NO primer . . .

Oh another thing. Maybe you haven´t got an idea how to spend all your money.
There is a solution: have a look here:

rhuoommmm .... I think this is the only reasonable decision that had to be made at the moment as the UP is planned to be released early this year ... huomm ... so the primer problem does not seem to be solved by now ... hoomm
huommm ... as for that 'Eowyn and Nazgûl - thing' ... ridiculous ... huomm .. bronze? ... why? ...
alas, just forget it for several reasons ... huoommm

I seem to recall that someone has posted this item in the Pony before, and I couldn't afford it then either....

Master Barliman; do you have any of that global warming in Bree that you could spare for Master O'Brien. It seems the production of mithrils could slow and without some August heat the Unexpected Party may be later than expected.
Offline
This would be really un...expected. But we have discussed such a possibility and its fantastic linguistic implications in much detail, last year.

No global warming here at the moment. It's sort of minus 6 degrees as I speak. Anyone for frozen scrumpy on a stick?
Offline
-6 here too.
Rather mild, I think

But I'll bet you can't get scrumpy on a stick there.

I would prefer a hot toddy and one for the mysterious mrmedic99 if he happens by.Maybe we could also have some more wood on the fire Master Barliman.

Scrumpy on a stick? Is that a popcicle for adults?. I don't eat them as ale is my prefered alcoholic flavor. Tonight it is -25c where I'm at in Minnesota (some areas not too far away are -30c). Who knows how cold the windchill is.
Nob, another ale, no need to chill the glass!

It'll take a while to chip the ale out of the barrel, so you'll have to be patient I'm afraid. And it'll have to be on the rocks when it comes...

I don´t know if that idea like a Master Tree

After a very, very, VERY vexatious day, I got my wire brush, and after 30 minutes of dedicated scrubbing, the last of the 12 Rohan warriors I bought are now safe to be assembled.
You wouldn't believe the names I was calling the nice people in Cork. Not pleased.
Anyway, onwards and upwards!

Rhuooommmhuomm ... hooomm ... what is this now? ... gruooouumm? ... a bowl of clear-clean-water? .... huomm ... Master Barliman, to be honest, I did not ask for a bowl of ice ... rhuoom...
though it's water, of course ... rhuoommm ... but the quality of your liquids seems to be decreasing or better say changing... huoommm ... so to say ... rhuoomm ... no harm intended, of course ... rhuomm ...
but next time you might serve that bowl of clear-clean water with a fork and knife, please ... hom
... alas ... I think you just forgot it's winter time ... huooommmm

Just break a piece off and suck it, Master Tree. I've given up putting ice in the drinks and have resorted to putting drinks in the ice. The mead popsicle is particularly nice.
Reading of your trials with the undercoat custard, Master Gavin, reminds me that I meant to mention that my "Helm's Deep 1" figures have no undercoat at all, which is a considerable improvement. Are your Rohirrim from another range?

Just make sure it is frozen scrumpy on a stick
, you know how these Breelanders like a joke at the expense of the unwary!!
Offline
Nope, these are the recent Helm's Deep series, M-510, M511, M512 and M513 complete with goop. When I ordered them, I hoped they would be merciful to me and send me something without goop, but alas no.
The next mithril purchase I make will be the Knights of Dol Amroth and the Corsair "warband" sets without any undercoat at all. After that, I will have to strongly weigh the decision to purchase future M figures, if they come like that. Because that stuff does not come off without a fight, and the wire brush scrubbing did the figures no favours. And after spending all that money, to have these stripped scratched figures is quite the disappointment.

How odd. I don't recall asking mine not to have undercoat but perhaps I did. It's a while ago now, and my memory isn't what it was (if it ever was what it was, so to speak - memory like a lumber room etc). Do I recall Mithril offering to provide figures without porridge on them if we didn't want it? I guess, though, that it depends on what's in stock and what has to be cast especially to meet an order. The undercoat on the Corsairs and Knights of DA is OK, though - they're from the pre-goop era - so you shouldn't have any troubles there.

I requested my helms deep figs without primer and they came that way. I remembered Michael responding to the critism of the members by offering to replace figs if we were unhappy with unprimed ones.

Rhuoommmtudoommtidom ... the primer is about to being changed for the better .... rhuoomm ... I do hope this is good news ...... the UP will be delivered unprimed, anyway ...
rhuooommm .... huooom ... there are reasons for that having nothing to do with primers ...
ahh, thank you, Master Barliman, for that bowl-of-whatever-is-in-it ....

These are GOOD NEWS, Master Theobald. I think I will follow and having a bowl too . . . Are there still icy-times . . .

Well, I finished Theodred last night, and I am working on four more Riders of Rohan (well, one of whom is the Eomer mounted figure) right now.
The weather outside is fascinatingly skanky, so I am not going out there to take pictures.
Soon, though, I hope!
