Re: The Taproom

mmmh, quiet here in this place . . .
As I told before, I have spent a few days in this belgian capital.
I have found no miths at all, but therefor the "mort subite".
And: something very special for this magnificent Tree and I hope, although the photography is awful indeed, he will know what it shows . . .
and will put a smile upon his face . . .

Re: The Taproom

Well, it seems that finally Elros hasn´t passed the "cut ".... sad
I don´t understand why. His history is clearly explained in the LOTR´S Appendices. And Gil-Galad and Celebrimbor are characters with similar characteristics and had no problems with the license..... What a pity! There are still passages-characters of the Appendices that could be excellent GF figures. And all are named figures..... wink

Huoomm... as for all those councils presently being discussed ... rhuoommm ... I cannot follow the ideas behind them ... huoomm ... only a tree I am, as you might know .. rhuoomm ... nice ideas, indeed ... but ... well ... habemus concilius ... rhuoommm .. was a wise quotation, Master Erchamion ... huoommm ... very wise indeed ... huooooooooommmrhuooommm

Re: The Taproom

Hmmmm, Master Tree . . . when accounting for all those GF Mithrils above was the situation regarding the West Gate of Moria, and that certain Prince of the Squirrels considered?

Re: The Taproom

mmhh I don't remember if the west gate/morlass was accounted for in my counting.  you can count them though in the other thread where all the GF suggestions are mentionned

Re: The Taproom

Can´t fall into sleep. It is so warm in Germany, you know . . .
I think I will go downstairs and have a look at the bar. Maybe there is some special kind of midnight-drink waiting for me . . .
Mmmh, can´t find these umbrellas, where the #***## has Master Barliman put them . . .

Re: The Taproom

I don't often get asked to put an umbrella in the drinks!! But I'm afraid that they're all in use at the moment anyway - it's raining outside, you see, so I said the rats could borrow them (well, you wouldn't want watery scrumpy, now would you?).

Re: The Taproom

Huooommmm ... just for a thought ... rhuom ... I tried to find out about the latest 'newsletter' of the Company (not this GF-newsletters some of us receive)... huoommm ... whatever 'news' means, they do not seem to haste ... November 09 ... rhuommm ... well, that's very close to up to date, meseems ... huoommm ...
Master Barliman, I need a good-well-filled-and-topped-up-bowl-of that clear,clean water ... rhuoomm ... water I said, not that scrumpy-called-stuff-mixed-with-ingredients-that-could-kill an orc- within-a-mile-distance ... huooommmm ... you know what I mean ...
Oh, by the by, them rats spoiled our wargskins when they came back with their umbrellars ... needless pack they are, but they should have been better advised to have a jump at your scrumpy-barrels downstairs ... huoommm ... just to improve the flavour and taste of the liquid you use to serve ... rhuoomm ... hom

Re: The Taproom

That would hardly be fair. I always wait until they're already treading the, er, paths of the dead, before I introduce them to the scrumpy barrels. I don't do the actual 'controlling with extreme prejudice' bit. I like to ensure that they live joyful, if short, lives first.

As for the 'olds-letter', yes, I'd noticed that too. It would be too much to hope for news of things that might interest us, I suppose - like what has happened to 'Death to the Strawheads'. Mithril certainly seem far too laid back about their product and promoting it.

Re: The Taproom

Huoommmm ... I think once again our Master Barliman is somewhere downstairs being busy with some of his what he used to call "Barliman Brew" .... huoommm ... if I were you, Master Rita.de, I would not try to cause any trouble by calling out that loud ... huommm ... why not help yourself, instead of having Master Barliman running up the stairs and then down again? ... huom

Re: The Taproom

What's all the commotion about? - I could hear the noise all the way down in the bottom-most cellar (the one where I keep Nob). As for my whereabouts, there just hasn't seemed much need to show myself much lately, since there seem to be no new rumours to talk about, nor even any new products that haven't been talked about already. Does anyone know better?

Re: The Taproom

Just for interrupting all these sleepy people . . .
There are very interesting suggestions around. That bard, Master Erestor, Master Angbor and this "thing" with evil roots . . .
Master Barli, I need a strong hot drink this morning. You need some rumour, Master Barkeep ?!
I have heard that Mrs. B has prepared some of her delicious cookies early this morning. Please, I would like to have one of these . . .

Re: The Taproom

Huooommmmm ... so what? ... can I get a drink please, Master Barliman? ... rhuoomm ... well, the facts are bad, methinks ... huom ... as sometimes they are ... gruooohhmm ... so we better stick to rumours ... hooommhuom ... you know, Master Barliman, that there are plans about some Joopie-extra-castings being sold this year somewhere? ... huoommm ... alright, I should have known that this doesn't really meet your interest ... anyway ... huoomm  ... next time I might provide a better rumour here ... huoommm ... but top it up, please ... rhuoomm

Re: The Taproom

Er, what's a Joopie? Sounds like something out of Star Wars - ah, no, that was an Eopie... But I'll top up your bowl anyway, because I'm a considerate kind of chap. Sort of.

Re: The Taproom

Huoommm ... ney, from some what you called "star wars" the word Joopie is not taken from ... alas ... it's always difficult to pronounce the the sounds you use in Bree accordingly ... rhuoomm ... so it means something like "you" and "pea" ... alas ... better have had it written as "youpee" ... rhuuoommm ... the short form of that is UP, I think ... huoommm ... thanks for topping up that bowl, Master Barliman ... I better learn that Breeish tongue ... huom ... but it might take a while and I cannot haste everything ... huoooommmm

Ah, since there's no one here at all at the moment I suppose I shall have to drink all this ale myself! It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.
