Alone--- no, Master Milo, Master Gavin and myself are helping you . . .

That's a deed I can help you to accomplish, indeed. Let's drink the ale and sing like nightingales until the night falls and far beyond...
(Quick Master Barliman, give me some ale before I continue saying nonsenses!)
Offline
I thought you were spouting nonsense because you'd been drinking the ale... Why do you think the Tree is always so talkative when he's in here? (But I have to laugh - he thinks I only give him water!)
Offline
Speaking of it... May I have a drink too master innkeeper? Something Fresh please, very very fresh....
and sparkling if there is?
Offline
Huoommmm ... I heard what you said, Master Barliman, I did hear that ... rhuoommm ... as I'm in the inn ... gruoommm ... anyway, as there by now are some of us being present, let's have a cheerioh-welcome to Master Milo .... huoommm ... but where is he?
Offline
Well now, it is nice to see the Pony filling up with all of these freinds. Spring is here and Old Man Winter will need to hide for another season!
Offline
I'm always here.
If a little quiet.

Huooommm ... though some are missing ... huom ... I was expecting Mistress Wendy to report about the further ways of our 'travelling Elrond' ... hoommm ... and alas, Master Barliman, when I say water I mean water ... gruoohuoomm

Me drinking already? how do you dare... to doubt it?
Spring is coming after a fell winter, let's begin to warm up our roots, as master Tree would say.

Master Milo has sending so many beautiful pics, that I need a rest and a cool drink for refreshment, Master Barliman. Would you please offer me a huge "hump" . . .
Offline
Hey Barliman,
For me, a keg of ale will do the job.
Today is a special day for me. Please provide any drink to thirsty fellows and keep the bill until my return.
Offline
Hey, Milo. Do you have any kinship with Master Samwise? Gamgee, as last name, is common to both .... I also seem to remember the name .... Took
Always good to see hobbits in this inn. They are often the most confused by the area of the Barrow-downs ......

About our travelling elf master Tree, I can give some news... He still stands in my home at the moment, and t hough I have found time to take some pics of him in some very beautiful places, I still miss some time for some more regular pics, and fill his journal before sending him away (having to move myself does not help doing things faster)
but well, Elrond and his fellow Gandalf are well

You guessed well Master erchamion,
As a matter of fact, Sam has always been a model, especially for cooking, as food is the most important thing in our family.
I do not know how a Took managed to join somehow our genealogy.
Anyway, I have an old picture of one Took struggling around Barrow-downs, I can rummage in my loft for you if you can bear a long talk with a hobbit.

Huuooommm ... so, our Elf takes care of that "travelling Elrond" at the moment ... rhuoomm ... good to know ... though I'll never understand why those Elves travel that often ... hoomm ... any idea where and when that Gandalf-companion took part in Master Elrond's travel? ... gruooommm ... huoommm ... ahem, Master Barliman, did you not recognize that the Prancing Pony has become crowded? ... grruuhuommhomm ... I'm still awaiting the bowl of clear-clean ... rhuoommm ... let me repeat ,please ... clear, clean watery drink Master Milo felt free to give to thirsty fellows ... gruommrhuom ... and could you make haste, please? ....

You're welcome Master Caster.
Take a sit and tell me more about this place.

Whew, that's a lot of orders for drinks. Where's Nob when you need him?
Offline
Huuoommmm ... mind the order of Mistress Wendy please, Master Barliman ... huoomm ...
as for me ... rhuoomm, well , it took me a day to assemble that weird-and-went-out-of-control-Dwarvish-meeting-you-might-know-of-vignette ... rhuoomm ... but it was time better spent than finding out about the whereabouts of Nob ... rhuoommm ... ahhh, could you please top up me bowl, please .... rhuoommm ... thank you, Master Barliman, I know you have been busy lately ... huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmm ...

Does that mean you have now received it? Good news indeed if so. I am still waiting to hear from Mithril, about my UP (Unexpected Package
), but I gather Helen is off sick, so hopefully I will get some direction soon.
Well, with Easter soon upon us I guess a flagon of your finest would be in order Master Barliman just to lubricate the path of the chocolate eggs that I hope will come my way (some hope - the eggs I mean
).
Anyhow, a good night to all, and unless some last minute voting came along, I guess it is congratulations to Gavin for his Elven Bard who seemed to have been first past the post; perhaps he may wander in here at some stage to play us a tune or two
.
On the subject of GF releases, anyone dissapointed with Gandalf and Gwahir being separate rather than combined figures? (I can't recall who won with this suggestion).
I'm easy which ever way, but I rather thought the intention was to have Gandalf being carried.
Offline
well I had first submitted Gandalf flying on Gwaihir back.. which had been declined.... then I had supported the idea of a gandalf on the back of a Gwaihir with folded wings... and once again... dismissed...
I suppose we'll have to make do... the scales of Mithril Eagles is too small to allow for human size people to be on their back without being totally odd or unfitting... I understand that...
(the same way that the Mithril Mumak is too small for all the characters on its back...making it look like a mumak baby )
Offline
I would /love/ to see a redesign of the Mithril eagles, making them something more akin to the Ebob miniatures Giant Eagles. Something big and dynamic.
The Mithril mumak is really...a Indian war elephant type of thing, with a howda on top for a couple of riders. Just like in real life. The At-At walker things are more of a movie invention.
Anyway, I'm dead happy with the Elf Bard. Means Gallind (from the old LOR adventure game) is now represented (or representable) in the "flesh" especially with a new Middle-earth RPG coming out.
I do so hope that Mithril does something about this new game, I must say.

The Gwaihir/Gandalf compromise demonstrates all too clearly that the Mithril eagles were too small from the outset (with which we've long since had to come to terms), and a new "Gandalf on Gwaihir" figure would have been an ideal opportunity to correct this flaw in the range. After all, the earlier eagles were released back in the mists of time, and are no linger really relevant.
As the tree might put it, "Ho-hummmmmmmm."

Perhaps its something we should make a fuss about?
Maybe for an "MB" boxed set?
The Giant Eagles of the Misty Mountains!
