MB279 - The Lord of the Nazgul
I painted this vignette in 1997.
Wings appeared to be a little too nice.
For wings extremities in the middle, I used toothpicks.
I asked my cat "Bilbo" to provide me some claws for top wings extremities.
Thanks to my pet, wings look much better !
Here, I feel this is my best painting I did so far. The Miniature is fantastic, everything went very well with painting.
I even managed to add a tear on Eowyn's cheek using one brilliant varnish droplet.
That's all folks !
Do not hesitate to send your comments, criticism and any questions.

This is absolutely great, Milo!
I think it is the second time (!) I see a painted nazgul-box! The other example was such horrible, better forget its existence!
So I am very glad indeed to see a real fine example of one of my absolutely favourite mithril miniature!
PS: ahh, and the Arthedain Captain picture has been modified!

Great work! I have always claimed the termination "mate" of the colors. Yours are just perfect .....

Milo - I agree with the other posters! Your work is really, really good - and has obviously gotten better over the years.
Nice, well painted, and creative.
Looking forward to more of it!

This morning, with sun rising, I managed to take pictures of some Bilbo's legend: Smaug.
MB345 - The Vengeance of Smaug
Maybe you can notice that its belly's skin is covered with diamonds (except one unarmoured patch of bare skin on his breast...). This was done with nail varnish I found in my wife's make-up.
I recently bought Mithril handbook and discovered that the presented painted dragon is almost the same as mine (especially wings). This is a pure coincidence.

10 year ago, I was trying to bring Bergil and Pippin on a quiet walk.
M196 - Pippin and Bergil
M203b : Townfolk
This Morning, looking at some New Zealand pictures in a book, I found the idea:
Quiet walk 1
Another option really good is this one:
Quiet walk 2

You are right ! I took the pictures this morning.
Miniatures look much better this way than using a standalone presentation.

Beautiful dwarves are remarkable... great pictures... those combination with calendar background reminds me of some of my older works. View them at this link:

they are B&W but the point is the same... ouuuh I must this weekend go to grandma's garden to check out what's new out there... You have given me inspiration....

I took some new pictures of some work I did 12 years ago.
MV376 - The Barrow-tomb
I tried to paint the tomb to obtain "white marble effect". Very difficult and not completely successfull...
In this vignette, I like the hobbits above all.

Here is an elvish scene.
It contains the following miniatures:
M338 : Elrond
M340 : Elf-Girl Harpist
M341 : Bilbo with Book
Rivendell daytime
I made this diorama in 1996.
Floor is hand made: small oilskin floorboards made of balsa.
Hope you like it.

Last paint was in 2008: M303 - Great Eagle attacking Orc (page 1).
I only restarted to work on it when I joined you. Looking at all your paintings revived my soul I guess...
I am working on "M136 - The Mirror of Galadriel " at the moment.
Next will be "unexpected party". I wish to build Bilbo's house for it (at least living room).
I might finish this in 2011.
