Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

There seems to be a difference between the winner of November 2014 listed in this chronology and the winner that Michael listed in the newsletter.

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

You are right Troy, Master Gildor must have dreamt. Still, I think Merry blowing horn won one suggestion poll as it has not been suggested since 2014. I just cannot remember when this winning poll occured...

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Hi collector fellows

I just have seen Michael's latest email about upcoming "MS" releases the Elf Rumil and that female orc.
Does anybody has a clue what figures these are?

I mean, I do not have anything against these two Figures – both look very fine!!!
but I wonder where to sort them in?
There is already a figure for female orc from February 2014: MS610 – isn't it?

Are they mixing up their own lists because of the long delay?
or are these maybe supposed to be the bonus figures like MS458 Witch-King and MS534 Isildur?

Cheers from Heidelberg, Germany

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

They had left a few empty reference numbers, then they told Chris that he may fill them with whatever he liked. So they are bonus figures of a sort.

" . . . then they told Chris that he may fill them with whatever he liked."
So- Mr. Tubb just missed the chance to let an Easterling see the daylight . . . therefoer he prefers a female orc . . .

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Interresting. I wonder if it will fill MS594, MS595 holes.
I did put little energy few monthes ago about that matter contacting Lars in private. He did not answer to me but it might have been helpfull at the end.

About easterlings, I know how you feel master archer. It is true it's always a waste making new minis while others exist on shelves and will not be produced...hmm

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Thanks for the information!

Maybe we should suggest more easterling related figures?

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Good plan. That way we might at least see one Easterling - though I'd prefer to see the whole range, and at a lower price than an MS figure.

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Frustration, Master Milo. It is simply frustration!!!!

Well- respect for your effort, gentlemen, I was such clever before you ( cool ) and suggested an "Easterling mounted archer" years ago!
Master Michael abandonned that suggestion with the words: "such figure already excists!"
So- suggesting Easterlings seems to be not that fine idea as it could be . . .

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

While regarding photographs of Maria Grazia Cucinotta I have an idea:
What do you think, when we build a team of "Easterling-suggestors" the next round on mithril main board?!
So to say the ESC! (Easterling-Suggestors-Club- no, not European Song Contest!)
Maybe "the company" will check something . . .
As far as I am concerned I would have a second try . . .

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Well, first I think the term "bonus figure" does not fit here, as I think that there never will be any more bonus figures in the Mithril releases.
The Easterling series? To be produced and sold? I'm afraid, there's no way. Imagine 10 "figures", most of them mounted, as far as I know, and at a current Mithril price for mounted figures ... well, you see.
Alright, that female Orc. I am glad somehow that this idea became a winner. Though I would like to point out that a "female Orc" was discussed here in the Prancing Pony long time ago (could have been in the Pony, tabroom 2). I suggested such a figure just because out of pure frustration about the quality of suggestions then. That caused some trouble afterwards. But as usual I always feel fine when any kind of trouble ends in the end. wink

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Allright, but it is now almost 10 years! that our Gold fellowship club exists!
this fact means some anniversary in summer, don't you think?
there were ups and downs in that time, some trouble see Moria western gate for example
and fun, just look at our Horn of Helm-blower from switzerland ;o) but the club and the minis are still very dear to me.

and sometimes time for one or another figure or suggetion seems to be more accepted or not.
so the only thing you can do is try to keep the club alive, with some patience and resuggestions again and again...

I have heard rumours of 3D modelling and maybe 3D printing.....
I do not know what my liking will be if our beloved mithril minis
will be made of light-weighted plastic some day....
I think I personally whould not be going on buying any more.

Anniverasry... why not... maybe in factory decide to give us discount of 75% for all figures..... ;-) we should wait with purchase until mid-summer winkbig_smile

....and yes I also cannot imagine mithril figures in resin.... Mithril is metal... so if they decide to make resin figures they should rename them in "Fairy alloys miniatures" ......

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

I, for one, am very very grateful, thankful, and relieved that master Milo is managing this so well. I don't know how mmp could carry on without him sad

I really don't feel like I will ever be able to partake with you, and be around with you all for quite some time and years... I thought things would grow easier with children with time but it's only getting "worse" and more time consuming...

so Thanks a lot Milo for all you do. And well, I'm still around don't hesitate to write me an email or so if you have any questions smile
